  1. Cafe Al bacio has the coconut macaroons. They are good but unfortunately they have not had macarons on my sailings.
  2. As the cost of Transatlantic's have increased greatly post Covid, I ask why the onboard booking OBC is still only minimal.
  3. Go to assigned muster station and they will do it there.
  4. It was on a plate with other dessert items. Guessing to be served at a meal or to a suite room.
  5. Go to the restaurant when on board and ask if they can accommodate you at a different time. Can always cancel if your time is not available. Not sure if Concierge can help you with this.
  6. Agree on change of table. Don't understand how the crew won't ask to have music turned off.
  7. If you book and later change your mind for whatever reason, can cancel and get refunded. Note that must cancel prior by 24 or 48 hours (can't recall which it is.) Also if price goes down and cancel and rebook.
  8. Sign into your account on Celebrity and it will tell you what your captains club status is. There has been a problem with correct CC points not being listed so try later if that happens.
  9. We live in a area without train service so had forgotten to check that out. I had thought wrongly that the coach ended in Southampton. As the route number was on my printout, DH saw that on coach when he inquired if this was the correct one. Also, the announcements in the waiting room at coach station were muffled. DH said they were very clear in bathroom. Would use this service again.
  10. I had read your post to say that you had gone to a tour desk at train station. My bad! We stayed at the Doubletree Centraal Amsterdam and they had a desk near the reception desk. Thanks.
  11. Do all Metro stops in Rotterdam offer ability to purchase ticket with credit card or are some just on/off stops? This one will be near cruise port.
  12. I will definitely do that. The airfare is about $400 pp less.
  13. I have a transatlantic ending in the Netherlands in May. Airfare back home from Brussels is a lot less than from Amsterdam. How easy to go via train to Brussels from Amsterdam with luggage? Any advice? Would probably stay overnight in Brussels so hotel recommendations would be welcomed. There are two of us traveling.
  14. That is something I would like to do. As it is a large station, do you recall where this tour desk was located?
  15. Our ship will be porting in Rotterdam and not Amsterdam as originally scheduled. I want to take the train to Amsterdam. Is it better to take taxi to Centraal station or the tram/train? If tram, then how to purchase ticket?
  16. We used National Express this past October. No problems once on the coach and a very friendly driver. Some advice: I had purchased a changeable ticket online and had a printout with the info. Problem was computer wrong and could not exchange at desk at LHR. Wanted to go earlier. After a few calls got it straightened out but took about 45 min. I had purchased prior to my flight being changed to 3 hours earlier. Secondly - did not understand coach listing on board at LHR station. Would have missed the coach if my husband had not decided to go out and see if coach was there at scheduled time. Found out that I probably could have gotten on that departure without calling as it was not full and another couple did so. Walked to Premier In West Quay from bus station.
  17. No. Didn’t ask. Just looked to see where we could go by train easily. Train station is 15 min walk from Premier. Only 2 platforms there so not too confusing. Purchased anytime off prime return ticket on line a month or so prior.
  18. In the past, with the exception of our TA in April 2022, immigration came on ship prior to arriving at debarkation port to clear passengers. Boarded at some point at one of our ports in Europe. This past April on the Odyssey of the Seas, missed our first port in Europe. Never cleared passport control and left ship after B2b in Rome. No immigration check. Flew Rome to USA via Frankfort where had to go thru passport control. Had to prove to agent how we arrived in Europe. Had no record of our arrival.
  19. We were there 2 nights precruise this past October. Had lunch at the Duke of Wellington. Enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Had dinner at the L’osteria. Split a pizza and pasta. Also dinner the the Greek place - was okay. Surprised that on a weeknight many of these places required reservations. We stayed at the Premier Inn across from West Quay. Took the train to Bath for a day as an excursion if looking for something to do.
  20. Just now from their website: Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onboard; with the exception of embarkation day when each guest (of legal drinking age) is permitted to bring onboard up to two (2) bottles of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package.
  21. Did you have an alcohol package?
