We don't have trains where we are so was very anxious about this but have done a few times. Follow signs to train. Go to ticket machine at Airport.If option, select English. Select where you want to go: Amsterdam Centraal, purchase ticket with CC. Take escalator or elevator down. The platforms are marked very well. I selected a train that was direct to Centraal Station. There are others that make a few stops. Exited at CS. If you go out the front of the station vs the water side, you are closer to the hotel which is where we stayed. If you exit the back, not a problem. Out the front, turn left, out the back, turn right.

We were on Celebrity and The Holiday Inn is at the cruise terminal - a very short walk. Look on Google maps. However, your ship may be at a different berth. Check out which berth your ship arrives.

What hotel are you staying? Many are a short walk from terminal.

You can choose your flights and price them with celebrity and thru airline. Don’t have to take their suggestion. I personally would not take the flight arriving at midnight. That would be the last flight of the day and more of a chance it would be cancelled. Go for best cost but don’t rely on celebrity getting you there on time as this is a holiday time and airlines and airports will be very busy. Recommend going a day early from someone who has missed two sail aways.

That’s frustrating. Did you select and insert the amount of OBC when reserving? Found it is not automatic. As your cruise in October, thought you could make changes with out fees prior to final payment which shouldn’t be due at this time. Hope everything else works out ok for you.

Interesting stops. Wave to us as you pass Detroit. Mackinac Island is fun. When are you sailing? Hope to meet up again with you.

Sailed on Apex but only ate in Eden and not other specialty venue. Will be on beyond and purchased a 3 night package. Does not list which venues are included or excluded. Any info on that?

You pay gratuity for drink package when purchased or per drink if no package. Not twice. Hope that answers your question.

We did that a few years back on a cruise stop in Lisbon with Spain Day Tours.

Great photos. I have that same photo of the thatched roof row homes with the colorful doors.

We have a TA booked for April 2024 that ends in Lisbon. Have been there a few times with Cruises. Good info from you to look into and wonder if you have other things of interest in and around Lisbon.

When there a few years back, did tour to Waterford. Came back and found a nice pub in town. Small but nice place.

Sunset verandas are tru veranda.

Apparently the tram started later on Sunday. Looked at Rome2rio and saw metro was running. With info from other passengers, we tapped card when we entered and exited. Did not see elevator until after dragged cases down stairs. Nice man assisted us. Already train tickets and had nice workers assist us with our reader issues. FYI - steps to enter and exit train but wonder where those with issues enter train.

We are doing train also. Have our tickets. Plan to walk to tram to get to Rotterdam Centraal. Perhaps we could hook up with you for this as you are more worldly traveled in Europe.
