  1. In the past 50 cents of tips used go to Chief housekeeper . Not sure if that still applies. Just adding to the can of worms
  2. At the moment it’s $25 US plus 15% per person per day according to another thread down the page
  3. I think you may want the Alcohol free package which gives you coffees soft drinks and alcohol free cocktails, suggest you check it out on the website.
  4. Sorry not clear I meant if a suite guest wants friends to join them in Luminae there is a charge👍
  5. Crew aren’t allowed ashore much if at all due to Covid so dollars probably preferred
  6. I believe Celebrity is Canyon Ranch but don't know about masseuse
  7. 2 for 1 are a thing of the past even for Elite + , the best we have seen is 30% off.
  8. Why do the largest men (weight wise) always wear the smallest swim trunks??
  9. Hand washing on ships is something personal not just MSC , I have seen people at the door with dispensers and passengers just walk past them on many Celebrity cruises . It is not crew job to chase these idiots as they will get into trouble from higher ups if the passenger complains. I was making the point that I did research prior to cruising with them and made the decision re YC, however I know many people who cruise non YC and are very happy with their experience it is based on your expectations . Celebrity has a lot of cases it is not restricted to MSC --have a look at their boards and they are being transferred from suites or balconies to just a window cabin!!
  10. Most people book Aqua for the dining option so it will be a busy place, as stated suite guests can only eat there on space available basis. If a suite guest wants non suite friends to dine with them there is a charge of $30 per person.
  11. OK a couple of points 1 ) Surely as a grown up you don't need to be told to wash your hands if going to get food, I do it at home all the time and it isn't a hard task!! 2) I have sailed in YC on 4 ships total 70 days 1 of the cruises was 28 days and would not sail MSC if not YC we do have another 14 days booked on Seaside in January. People need to know what they are booking by doing research not placing the blame on MSC. 3) We take Covid precaution still and I shop wearing a FFP2 mask, it is up to the individual to take cake.
  12. Hi different rules for different countries, best wait for MSC reply
  13. They changed our cruise April departing August on Virtuosa from North Cape to M10 days Canaries! Also changed dates of a Seaview cruise pre Covid by 2/3 weeks and we had to cancel as had other plans. It happens.
  14. The bottles were clear and Bulgari toiletries a few years ago in suites
  15. Hi there are lots of threads on drink packages if you search the thread using the box top right. If you want a drink that is over the limit on Classic you pay the difference, on Celebrity website you can find the different brands on each package under Dining or Drink packages sorry can't remember which.
  16. If you have a cruise only rate be prepared for the jump in gratuity rates for a suite! I think it’s around $20 per person per day.
  17. Our friends bid pre cruise Move Up to go from CS to RS and didn’t get it on Sil last September. When they boarded they enquired and got RS for less than their bid, went to Guest Services and told they would know within the hour, they got the full suite treatment.
  18. Maybe post this on the ports of call section, the port authority MAY do a shuttle
  19. We were travelling in a RS 5/6 years ago and at check in line for suites , someone from the counter came to us and checked us in. The suite concierge Megan was waiting to escort us onboard its was our first RS and cruise out of Dubai, so Yes it does happen
  20. Our first cruise 1991 we were inside mid ship probably below the waterline , as we got older we upped to outside then balconies it is only the last 8/10 years we have been in suites. If travelling with friends we cruise in the type they want!
  21. Surely if your travel agent did the booking it is them that should be chasing this up , glad you got it sorted though
