  1. What does this mean? "Many of the Airlines Sites under cruises"
  2. My favorite dessert onboard is the Grand Marnier souffle. Any souffle, really. Was looking on the app menus and don't see it anywhere. Is it a Celebrity dessert?
  3. I have the same question. How to connect tablet to TV in cabin
  4. Go over to Atlantis and just look around. Wonderful aquariums there. Watch the people playing in the water park.
  5. Will be in a Celebrity Suite on Reflection and placed a move up bid to Royal Suite. SO EXCITED! Have read butler will draw a bath for you. Does butler add anything to the water? Bath bombs or oils or some other fragrant stuff? Can I bring my own bath bombs? I know with some jetted tubs bubbles are not allowed.
  6. The reason for the question is that I have certain DVD's that we would like to watch and connect to the TV in the cabin. We have connected a laptop with a CD drive to the TV in a hotel room successfully. However, the laptop we are bringing does not have a CD drive. Problem solved. Ordered an external CD drive to connect to laptop. Needed one anyway. Thanks for the comments. Could have done without the snark.
  7. Are there DVD players available onboard and is there a library of DVD's passengers can check out? I remember doing that a few years ago.
  8. Where is the page you check the status or increase your bid?
  9. We have been sailing since 1995 and our second cruise was on the Celebrity Mercury. Back then Celebrity's motto was "Exceeding Expectations". They always live up to that slogan and their crew always go above and beyond for whatever the passenger needs. The overall ambiance of the ship is quiet and classy. One Captain's announcement per day. No announcements all day long. Live music in the atrium and numerous spots and have had string quartets play in the dining room. Entertainment is abundant and more refined. Needless to say, Celebrity is our favorite cruise line and we look forward to enjoying the retreat on Reflection next month.
  10. This is the water we had on Solstice last August
  11. Not next door neighbors but close! We are in Johnson City. I am very familiar with Maryville.
  12. BarbeyG, saw your avatar says "Tennessee mountain home." The photo looks amazingly familiar to where we live. We could be neighbors!
  13. Here is mine...Solstice Alaska 2022
  14. Whether the champagne is an amenity of the particular suite I occupy is not the purpose of providing the list to the butler. If there is a charge for the champagne, I have ample OBC to more than cover it.
  15. Here is my preference sheet for our butler in our Celebrity Suite in February on Reflection. We like our own mimosa concoction with pineapple juice and champagne. Morning Beverages 1 large coffee 1 large hot water 1 café mocha with whipped cream (still debating if I want the butler to deliver or get it from Al Baccio) 1 large Pineapple juice Breakfast One or two days on balcony Afternoon plates – any of these We like an assortment of meat and/or seafood, cheese, and crackers. Seafood on separate plate. Small plate of fruit. We like strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, and whole bananas Small desserts or cookies Stocked in cabin Still water Ice Champagne
  16. I will certainly play for you. Wonder if I could cruise at a deeply discounted rate in exchange for playing in the PH suites.....
  17. Alaska cruises you MUST have a balcony (we always book port side) - to enjoy all the scenery without jostling with other passengers on the railing. And order room service and bathroom is nearby.
  18. In light of these experiences by the OP, what is the benefit of reporting symptoms to ship personnel instead of doing self tests and self quarantine if positive?
  19. I think the underlying issue is that the passengers fear they will contract covid on the first leg and test positive for the second leg and then they are dead off the water....
  20. Thanks for all the info and suggestions. Will do some adjustments. I'm splurging on the Celebrity Suite, I have lots of onboard credit to use, so may as well splurge on French champagne!
  21. I have read here about giving the Butler a written list of preferences and requests early in the cruise. We will be sailing in a Celebrity Suite on the Reflection in February, 2023 and would like to know if my list is spot on or what to include, delete, etc. Preference List for our Butler Celebrity Reflection, Suite 1233 Morning Beverages 1 large coffee and 1 large hot water 1 café mocha with whipped cream Breakfast One or two days on balcony Afternoon plates – any of these We like an assorted meat and/or seafood, cheese, and crackers. Seafood on separate plate. Small plate of fruit. We like strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, and whole bananas Small desserts or cookies Stocked in cabin Still water Ice Pineapple juice Champagne -Veuve Clicqot or Moët or other French champagne
  22. Digital thermometer, oxygen saturation monitor, Tylenol, Robitussin caplets, not liquid, for cough, Mucinex, alcohol wipes, Claritin, Zyrtec, sudafed, throat lozenges, cough drops, scissors. Basically everything I could think of for cold/flu symptoms. My spouse and I each had a bag in case one of us got quarantined. We decided to separate so the other could be an advocate for the one in quarantine. Didn't need to use anything in it. If you are prepared, you won't need it, we reasoned.
  23. I carried 12 proctored tests and four plain at-home tests for our group of eight sailing to Alaska on the Solstice. We used two plain ones onboard after some of our group tested positive. I tested positive the night we returned home. One whole carry-on just for Covid tests, two covid treatment bags in case we got quarantined, and some cruising ducks.
