  1. Then why does Royal think you're under 21? Check your confirmation.
  2. Are you sailing alone? That might be a problem.
  3. Yes, usually. I think they work on a 7 day schedule. Of course fresh linens on turnover day.
  4. I posted because I thought it was amusing. Not complaining and not serious. Sorry if you took me seriously. We bid once with no luck. Did gty once and got something totally unacceptable, so no more gty. What's most important is we get to cruise. Have had all kinds of cabins starting in 1971 on the Oceanic, porthole and 2 beds each attached to the wall. An inside in 1988 before tvs showed you what the weather was. And a grand suite we didn't even ask for on a Baltic cruise. The 2 bdrm gs on the Navigator is only because they accidentally (?) priced it below the spacious ocean balcony (fixed the pricing the day after we booked), my normal choice. As I said, the most important thing is that we're on a cruise.
  5. I know but really no extra benefits and 1 less bedroom.
  6. Dh, granddaughter and I are booked in a 2 bdrm grand suite on the Navigator in July. They are suggesting we do a Royal Up bid to a Royal Suite, 1 bdrm, or a Owner's suite, also 1 bdrm. Admittedly they are both very nice but why would I give up a bedroom? I know, it's an automated process but still strange.
  7. Yes but.... I was answering about hotel prices. Was also wondering about extra crowds, etc.
  8. I wonder if it's because of the Jubilee Year celebrations. Haven't done anything about this cruise yet (4 cruises to deal with first) but was wondering if it was the right time to go to Rome.
  9. Here's mine. The vase, when empty, is flat. From a company called MODGY.
  10. We're D+ and in our balcony cabins there are always several bottles of water when we arrive.
  11. We were supposed to be on a TA leaving on Passover and I contacted Royal, Mbayley@rcci.com. someone contacted me, gave me a number to call and they were very helpfu. l made reservations for the seder that they were doing. No I don't think it was going to be very kosher but they are trying. Heading to family in Wisconsin for the seders. Not quite the same but nice.
  12. We sailed into Tampa in October onnthe Radiance after a Canal transit. I slept. But on the Brilliance December 29, 2018, we wentvto muster, the old one, and the captain did his usual announcements and then said the coast guard had closed the port and we wouldn't sail forca while because of fog! We all were confused as it looked sunny to us. Well while it was clear at the port the bridge was fogged in. Didn't sail until after 12 noon the next day!. Got to the bridge around 3:30 the next day. And since we couldn't leave the 3 ships to enter the next morning didn’t start sailing in until we and the Rhapsody sailed under the bridge. Missed a port but captain sailed along Cancun at midnight so we could watch the fireworks from the hotels at midnight new years eve. Really nice show.
  13. We've done that. Talk to your waiter or head waiter a day or more 8n advance. They'll be happy to help.
  14. Look at the postings for the current Radiance Panama Canal sailing. They just discussed that.
  15. Gosh didn't think the weather was that bad going around the hurricanes!
