  1. Just looked at our edocs that arrived today and has the new gratuities. Was planning on using our obc to pay them but don't think I can prepay using them. Already booked an excursion and not planning on much else. If I remember there's a way to get those nonrefundable obc from the casino, correct? How?
  2. No. If any question make sure you let your cabin attendant to leave them.
  3. You can, and must, do muster before sailing and before you put phone in airplane mode. Don't waste your wifi minutes until you need to. Using your cell service while still in port is fine.
  4. You indicate you are EU citizens. Passports yes but also check with each country to see if any other requirements. Most of us on this board are US citizens and on a closed loop cruise don't even need our passport, though having one is strongly advised. We're not the best ones to give advice to EU citizens.
  5. We always turn off roaming as well just in case the phone goes into regular cell service without noticing. As the ship starts to sail i put it in airplane mode and turn on wifi. To use it you will need to sign up for wifi with the ship.
  6. You can order a package of 3. Just did that. Have used them 3x with no problems including in Amsterdam in May to fly home.
  7. The line you need to click is small and just under number of people.
  8. Will do but not going until October. A friend referred me to them. She's originally from London, currently living in Texas. She also recommended Pinkberry cars but they were more expensive.
  9. About to book Meadway. They were less expensive than Pinkberry from Heathrow to our hotel. About the same from hotel to Southampton. They answered my email quickly.
  10. Tennessee only gives you a temporary license at least for a new one when we moved here in 2018. Not sure if you are renewing it.
  11. We had only the one port after sailing through the fjords. Had a naturalist on board who spoke from the bridge. Could hear him in the cabins and elsewhere. We were on a TA. Not sure if that makes a difference.
  12. In 2018 on Royal's first cruise to Greenland. Didn’t do that tour. Is your stop at Qaqatoq (sp?)? We went, through Royal, to someone's home for coffee and cake to learn about life on the island. Our hostess was in her 80s and was great. She told us she walked to the store in the am but took a cab back and then baked for us. Our hostess spoke some English but where necessary our guide translated. We like meeting locals and learning about their life. If that tour is available I'd recommend it. We also wandered around town and went into some local stores. Lots of American goods in the grocery.
  13. The only time a piece of luggage was damaged was 1994 on Celebrity Horizon. They repaired it onboard if I remember correctly. A long time ago.
  14. Update: heard from someone in exec office who apologized no explanation as to what happened and said they were giving us each an additional $50 obc, i.e. $100 for the 2 of us for a total of $200, but that would only be an extra $50, which us what the cruise planner showed. I emailed the person again and reminded her to look at the original confirmation which was attached to the email. The original obc was $150. Someone else responded and as of today I have an apology and the correct amount of the obc. The explanation is that for an unknown reason our original obc had dropped off. Of course no explanation as to why they dropped off. I guess it was just Royal IT.
  15. Checkin was open on the app so did it on laptop, picked time, went to sleep and finished next day.
  16. Last time I tried to download a picture I had used before they didn't like it. They took our photos at the port checkin. No problem.
  17. Only obc were from next cruise. To save $100 I would need to give them an additional deposit, something I wasn't ready to do. Had never had that before.
  18. That's what I thought but have seen where I could lose obc from another promotion. Ta is a relative so hard to argue. And no can't change ta.
  19. Agree. Not really complaining. Current price is less than half of original price. Voyager 1/9/23. As I said not really complaining. What you say makes sense and I do recall it happening before. Thanks.
  20. I noticed another price drop on a January cruise. It was originally a next cruise booking with the reduced deposit. When I reached out to ta she said to get it I would have to increase our deposit. Decided not to do it. Had already gotten several price drops on this cruise so no real complaints but would have liked a few more dollars in my pocket. Anyone else have this problem?
  21. We've always checked in for both. Takes a couple of minutes and done.
