  1. Great lobster last week at Chefs Table.
  2. In theory it does. However last week o lot about 20 books remained. It’s part of Anderson’s.
  3. They are as you describe. We managed to make this work well on Iona for last 2 weeks. Often ordered a starter and soup as well as a desert and cheese - even though they were on the menu together. Waiters were very happy to be flexible as they were at Chefs Table and in Epicurian.
  4. We were also told just under 5,000. That was by the lady at check in on 2nd Jan. Captain told us that Christmas Cruise was an additional 400 ish people - due to children in bunks and on sofa beds.
  5. I believe the thermal areas on ships have a high charge to keep numbers manageable. On Iona it’s a max of 12 people per session.
  6. Just booked a fly cruise on Azura for April 2023. Does anyone know if P&O are using the scheduled Jet2 flights or whether it will be a charter.
  7. On Iona we have just paid ÂŁ179pp for a 12 day pass.
  8. Just a little tip. It does not say in your cabin how to book a wake up call on your cabin phone. It’s actually *12 Reception staff were unaware how to do this as was the cabin steward. You can ask reception to book one too but often can’t get through to do so. With clocks changing prefer not to rely on mobile etc so the wake up call is a good option for us.
  9. I would 100% try LPC as it’s so different and not available at home. Do not do it on evening chic night so as not to miss lobster in luminea.
  10. You have made an excellent choice and will love Britannia Club. Whilst the cabin is the same as standard balconies the restaurant is excellent and feels very special. Cunard is a definite step up from P&O, but there again so is the price.
  11. Pics below of the room service menu for our Beyond Sky Suite. I know people were looking for these but I can’t find the original thread.
  12. Currently on Beyond. The Personal Retreat Hosts are no longer. The Butlers have returned đź‘Ź
  13. Just to confirm on arrival our mini bar was stocked with soft drinks, waters and beers. Butler explained this was a new enhanced service for Sky Suites. Also explained that he could not leave spirits or wine (apart from the welcome onboard bottle of fizz) but would fetch anything we wanted from the bar during the cruise. Amazing service.
  14. I’m currently on Beyond and the internet / WiFi speeds are amazing - that’s with 3000 guests on a sea day. We are Retreat passengers and have the top internet package included. The speed does vary but is averaging 50Mbps download.
  15. We were lucky. Booked the cruise last year prior to it becoming the CEO cruise so got The Retreat at a fraction of recent prices.
  16. Don’t think Cunard need to introduce bids as higher categories always sell. The Celebrity Move Up Programme (and MSC is contracted to same company) has been great during the pandemic with under capacity sailings and also for last minute cancellations. Allows extra income as its the compound value of all the successful bids in a “chain”. As ships get back to normal capacity and post pandemic not sure there will be too many successful bids.
  17. Glad the live TV channels are fixed. That was the only downside of our recent QV QG cruise. We managed to get bars of soap but failed on slippers. Real first world issues. The restaurant was not disappointing at all. Only request they could not deliver was escargot as none onboard for 2 consecutive cruises.
  18. Hi. We are on the Presidents Cruise next week. Realise that its likely to be sold out and fingers crossed they have enough staff to cope. I would be surprised if they don’t bring staff in from other ships to make everything run smoothly with LL-P being onboard. Apart from being able to book some special excursions with her, are there any other benefits / surprises on a Presidents Cruise?
  19. Never heard any noise in the suite from anywhere. The entrance to Luminea is not via the corridor in front of the suite.
  20. Not correct. The Aqua Class Sky Suites (new grade) have both. They are part of the Retreat. Aqua Class cabins only have a shower - they are linked to Blu.
  21. Stu UK

    capacity

Last week QV was 1750 passengers so c86% full. Grills at 100%
  22. I had rack of lamb last night - just for one. Lovely.
