  1. Do you frequent Holland cruisers like their Westerdam ship?
  2. I am thinking about purchasing beverage cards for my daughters family since they do not have a drink package. Has anyone purchased these cards before? Is there any trouble to use them? Thinking it would help them some and drink packages are so expensive.
  3. Thank you for your review, confirms what I had written. I was hoping it was just my cruise and things would get better. I read more positive reviews on the s class ships. Think I am done with e class. I have a b2b booked on the new ascent next January probably last one on this class unless things change. Hope they do.
  4. Please let me know how the ship and the trip is on the Westerdam, going on her in June and looking for all the information I can. so they did not upgrade any bedding or curtains in the rooms I take it. mainly interred in your take on the food. thank you so much!!!

I’m sorry to see all the ugly comments that people choose to say on these boards, but I have said this before and will say it again, as long as celebrity’s passengers go along with all this extra charging and tipping it will never change. It will also never go away. I’m sad to see that the majority of comments I read are not upset by these extra fees, downgrading of the food experience, not having the ships staffed properly, lots of excuses for celebrity. It is sad that this is happening to the cruise industry under the assumption that Covid caused this to happen yet the CEOs of this industry still will get their millions of dollar bonuses, so keep paying these up charges, keep getting less then fine cuisine in the main dining rooms so you will pay to eat in the specialty dining rooms. will I stop cruising….no…will I switch to a more upgraded cruiseline? Possibly. I will also continue to find the best deals out there, will not order room service and if I should eat in a specialty restaurant there certainly will be no cash tip as there always was in the past.

  9. I have a corner aft Neptune suite booked in June for Alaska, we will be on Westerdam. Just a couple questions. Nothing comes with this suite but free laundry which I probably will not use for a 7 day cruise, is this correct? am I allowed to carry on any soda? I am in stateroom 5191, has anyone been in this suite on Westerdam? thanks in advance for any replies
  10. I am glad you enjoyed your cruise on the edge, I’m hoping mine was just a one time bad cruise. Was this your first celebrity cruise?
  11. You’re welcome, and I do hope you have a better cruise and things on board get better. Could have been an isolated number of incidents on ours.

This is so disappointing, we board the Infinity on Feb. 25 and I was so hoping it would be a better cruise then the one I just finished on the Edge. we have spent a lot of money on these two cruises to not even get a steak unless we spend more money to get one. the wait staff on the edge in the main DINING ROOMS WERE AWFUL ON THE EDGE, and what’s with the butter?? Never enough and none offered for the pathetic lobster tails. I have to quit dwelling I guess and hope for the best. How was the ship? Your cabin?
  14. I would not get too upset if there is no lobster, I just got off Edge and I’m mad I did not take a picture, it was the saddest looking smallest little lobster I have ever seen, two bites at most. So enjoy what they have and know you are not missing much.
  15. Edge travelled about 400 less then full capacity is what I was told.
  16. I was honest, and we aren’t affecting the workers being honest, Celebrity is doing this to their workers by doing what they are doing.
  17. There is no main dining room experience on the edge any longer it’s all select I believe, I could be wrong but from my recent experience I believe that’s the way it is now on the edge class ships.
  18. Edge just had outdoor movies. Not much seating but if the weathers nice it’s fun. I just saw Elvis, finally. Good movie.

Honestly I’m done writing anything negative after this last comment but it is all so fresh in my mind right now. as elite or above there has always been a private disembarkation room, there had been coffee and danish available for those of us in there waiting on departure. Well you can probably guess….nada, nothing, I can’t tell you how many people were asking if there was coffee or tea, the response was always “no, no coffee”. I am sure that the suite experience is probably still wonderful but for the rest of the cruisers it is a big change. Not a good one either.

  21. I think sadly I agree with you. I really have been honest on the food, it was very disappointing as was the service most times. I do not believe for the price you pay for a cruise that a filet or prime rib can not be offered one night on a cruise. We did eat in rooftop grill and Eden, the food was very good as was the service but you had to pay to get a steak. I also don’t understand the lack of seafood other then salmon. The rooms are still serviced twice a day, chocolates on the pillow, and celebrity cabins are still some of the best out there I do believe, we had an aft real balcony and my friends had an IV they need a handicapped room and no real balconies are offered to them other then a suite. I do hate that design on the new ships. oh well, I’m on to the next one and hope for some food improvement on the Infinity. I also agree with the poster that said as long as we keep accepting their up charges and cuts they will continue to do it, what is the solution? You do need to hit them in their pocketbook I guess and sadly move elsewhere.
  22. I hope you still love it after the cruise. Will be interesting to hear your thoughts. Just got off edge, posted a review a few minutes ago. I do hope you have a wonderful cruise give us your review when you can.
