  1. I know it is a bit late now 3/10/24 but did Carnival end up participating in the port valet? I am doing the 14 day Alaska cruise from 4/23 to 5/7.
  2. I reluctantly used the app also but have come to appreciate that is actually working and is quickly applied to my cruises. All stock perks got out of me is my name and email. I didn't answer their personal questions or give an actual address. And no access given to my account, just a picture of my statement. This is more evidence that Carnival is not ending the benefit any time soon. Why would they hire Stock Perks to do this and extend the applicable date to 12/31/24? I think many people are worried over nothing!
  3. I have not stayed in the Splendor 4J rooms, I just remember being on the front deck and noticing the windows pointing forwards. But I can guess they would be prone to a bit more motion due to being high up on the ship and in the front.
  4. That's pretty darn good view. I remember seeing some of the ones on the Splendor and they were much more recessed and I don't think they had that good a view. I meant balcony configuration as in same layout as a balcony room but no balcony.
  5. Sometimes the views are non existent but if it is only 20 bucks more I will take the balcony configuration and natural light over a regular interior room. Last year I had a regular interior for the Freedom in Feb from Miami and it got switched over to the Spirit and I actually got a true upgrade at no cost..........they stuck me in a regular balcony on deck 5 which was a pleasant surprise. Do the 4J's have any kind of view other than the "secret" deck?. I would feel like a goldfish being watched in one of those!
  6. If you want to get an idea of your view the link below has some photos on sister ships Legend and Pride and a video of the Spirit room 4131. For your sanity you may want to go right to the 2:25 mark to escape the jittery camera work and lousy music 🤣 https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/cabin-pick.php?c=2654
  7. It will not load for me as of 258 PM pst . I always download so I can print later to be safe. I do miss the cruise summary still! They should have that available.
  8. Well then he can take the chance on it but it is a gamble 😉 ! Carnival wants the people feeding their casino revenue to be onboard I would think.
  9. It just recently got extended to the end of this year which is six months better than we were a couple weeks ago. Like Blerk said they have changed things up and to me renewing it on a calendar year basis makes much more sense than mid year like it was. I am cautiously optimistic that Carnival would not want to rock the boat and discontinue a cherished by many benefit.
  10. My last shareholder thing shows differently with it originally expiring July 31st of this year but has now been updated since the stock perks takeover of applying for benefits. I downloaded this from Carnival on March 14th 2023. ShareholderBenefit2023-2024.pdf
  11. But this isn't a garden variety no show, this sounds like the person who received a casino offer no showing after securing a "free" or greatly reduced cruise fare based on their offer. Someone should post the T&C for casino offers and we could probably figure it out, at least theoretically since Carnival can do things a number of different ways at different times.
  12. I am not so sure about it being a bad sign. After all, they did extend the date beyond the previous expiration of July 31 of this year to December of this year. If it was going the way of the dodo I don't think they would have even extended it at all.
  13. That is a rather bold statement. Are you privy to this sort of information? How can you possibly say it has never happened? I think casino offers are tied to the person who is offered a reduced or free sailing actually showing up.
  14. Is this the casino offer T&C? I think no showing of a normal fared cruise is a lot different than a person who books a casino offer no showing. I think there very well could be a refare of the cruise if the person who was given a cut rate or free cruise no shows. I don't receive casino offers myself but have done "regular" no shows without issue.
  15. That one pictured is deck 9 in the back by serenity on the Spirit. The main coffee joint is deck 2 forward near the Red Frog pub.
  16. True but save your 25 percent milestone for something expensive!
  17. This would make sense, they could renew it for a calendar year perhaps, which would be less confusing for some 😉
  18. They have changed the dates up a bit instead of renewing until July 31st of 2025. I wonder if that means it gets renewed in Fall of the year now?
  19. Actually it provides plausible deniability about the water being green from algae 🤣.
  20. Sunshining the Spirit class would be the last thing on Earth I would want 😉 . Adding 5 rooms on deck 1 and chef's table room was quite modest. Thankfully I don't think the Spirit class can really be " sunshined" .
  21. I will miss Frankie also but I get one more shot with a January 2025 twelve day trip from Galveston to the ABC Islands which should be great.
  22. I watched a video on the Pride post dry dock and they did a good job imho although some will miss the card room. The night club looked pretty good for the conversion to one level only. Hopefully the Legend and Miracle will add the big screen to the pool area. I think it is a nice touch for those who enjoy the dive in movies.
  23. The Spirit is actually going into dry dock before the Miracle from Jan 30, 2025 to March 15th. It will also be going across the pond for dry dock. I am expecting them to do to the Spirit the same things as Pride...... lower level night club removed and becoming 5 new rooms and a dedicated chef's table. Also card room on deck 2 near coffee shop converted into Carnival Adventurers store. And a fair guess would be that the table cloth in the MDR will be "curtains" with the tables being converted like the rest of the fleet away from the white vinyl/plastic. It appears the sailing to Europe for the dry dock will be a non revenue trip, as no cruises shown for trip over.
  24. Correct, $75.54 will be added as gratuity at time of purchase for a 7 night cruise.
