  1. So the fact that I bought myself a nice yeti to take water with me on our excurstions was a pure waste of money? What pray tell do they have against water?
  2. LOL...same here. I am a 74 year old women whose husband would probably be happy if he learned I was visiting porn sites, and knowing this was a scam, I replied to the email with a "go for it" approval and told them to "please make it public to my husband first. It will make his day!"
  3. I don't think stating your opinion or dislike about something is creating "drama". Having relentless arguments over it does. I won't feed into that but I will continue to express my feelings or opinions. I don't think mine are "popcorn" worthy.
  4. And why not may I ask? This is a forum where we exchange information, ideas and opinions right?
  5. Yeah....good idea, although I shouldn't have to figure out my own way of having ice. I never have that issue in a hotel.
  6. I think I did read it somewhere but my old brain cannot recall where that was. Apparently Bermuda requires cruise ships to register for their casinos to be open for longer hourse "after Covid". Doing so wiill raise the cost of the casino licence. I don't know how they justify that raise in cost but that's what I believe I read. Edit: OK, here is where I read it. I just found it. https://www.royalgazette.com/tourism/news/article/20211113/cruise-ships-get-right-to-extend-casino-hours-while-in-port/
  7. Thanks....Bird did say it was closed the one night they were there because of the licence costing too much so I was referring to that particular comment. Now that Bermuda has raised the cost of the licence I am just wondering if they will keep it open now.
  8. Wow....we will be there 3 nights. I am not liking the idea it will be closed the entire time. Nope, nope nope! We love the casino and would not have booked Bermuda if that were the case. ugh!
  9. Like it's been said, it melts fast. By the time you get back to your room at any given time...it's nothing but water. One bucket of ice in the morning does not last till dinner. And you will be lucky if you even get one bucket of ice. On our last cruise, which was on the Breakaway in 2018 our cabin steward NEVER brought ice to our cabin. I had to hunt him down to get it and who wants to go through all that every time you want an ice bucket??? We should not have to do that. I know they are busy...I get that and I get that it's not their fault, so in light of that the cruiseline needs to address these issues where the root problem is they do not have enough staff and they are over worked. It's that simple.
  10. Good point...but there's this thing called "return customers". Like in a restaurant, if the food is awesome you will go back. New customers might make comparisons to other vacation venues like "all inclusives" and make a decision that they are not getting enough on a cruise ship for their money. It's all relative, ya know it can come down to the "little things" making a big difference. I can't imagine that the cruise industry could survive solely on one time new customers. For myself, I just want to be on a ship cruising around the ocean. All those little things would not stop me because I find ways around it....but not sure if there will be a point where it becomes annoying. Lugging ice up to my cabin a few times a day from the buffet, because I am one who wants ice 24/7, might get old. It's not a deal breaker for now but you know how us old people get cranky making us hard to be around.
  11. I know before Covid ships docked in Bermuda were only allowed to be open from 9pm to 5am. However after Covid Bermuda extended the hours casinos can be open but the cruise line had to apply for it. My question is....Did NCL apply for it? We will be in Bermuda May7th and wondering how many hours the casino will be open for the 3 nights we will be there. Has anyone been there and were the hours extended?
  12. So yes we are clean after a shower but I always use 2 towels, one for my body and one to wrap my wet hair up. That said, many times the towels are not dry after a morning shower when you go to do one before dinner. Some people, depending on what they are doing daily take 2 showers. I think having access to the towels is the answer because not everyone needs them but many people do. And we should have "ice machines" on each deck ( forward, middle and aft )....There are ice machines in every hotel I've ever been in. I use a ton of ice daily....I don't want to be hunting down a room steward to fetch it for me every day. The ship is saving money by decreasing all it's services so instead of giving us less...make it so we can get it ourselfves.
  13. We booked our cabin right where we wanted to be....now we have offeres to upgrade to anything above a balcony. We can only afford the Spa Suite Balcony but we noticed that they are below the racetrack and there is no guarantee we'd get one that has no noise...so we decided to keep what we have. I keep going back and forth on the fence with it....I am just afraid that we won't be happy with the location and that we may not use the spa all that often with only 7 days. Go with your gut instinct.
  14. It does not look like SIX will be on Prima. It didnt mention Prima in that casting link! ugh! I hope they replace Noise Boys with something.
  15. So in light of all of this.....WHAT is NCL doing about it in regards to santizing ALL the shower heads and areas where this bacteria hides and grows? I keep thinking I should take a can of lysol and spray the shower head in our cabin....we sail May 7th. Someone mentioned the hot tubs....aren't they clorinated?
  16. Thanks for sharing that.....I hope they have this on our May 7th cruise.
  17. There is NO cost to use their workout equipment. That said, I am not sure about any classes.
  18. So...I'm really out of the entertainment industry loop......Who is Six?
  19. We live a 2 hour drive from NYC port. Murphy's Law says, "if anything can go wrong, it will go wrong". In light of that we always book a hotel the day BEFORE our cruise. Weather, traffic jams, car breaking down etc can happen. I remember one cruise out of NYC, a time that we failed to book a hotel....we were in a traffic jam in the city for 4 + hours. The cars were barely moving. It was a nightmare. Something was going on in the city...who knew! Not us! We were about ready to abandon our car, park it on the side of the road, and risk it being towed so we could walk to the ship. LOL Never again will we chance driving from home to the port on the same day of the cruise. Live and learn
  20. I am not going to jump off because I am not into NCL....but after our upcoming Prima cruise in May we will be booking our next cruise on another line just to for a "change". I want to see waht else is out there and maybe we will find something we like better or comparable and maybe we won't. You never discover new things by sitting in the same chair.
  21. We are gold so we get 50% off....good idea t roll those clothes tight. Thanks
  22. THis and other reviews is making me rethink our reservation at Cagney's. It's been several years since we did it on the Breakaway and Dawn and i was pretty good then, but so much has changed over the years so I can believe this is one of those things. I may skip it. Thanks for the review.
  23. Is there a way to have it "noted" before you board to have the bed separated? Once we board and our room is ready it is sometimes hard to find the room steward to request this. And, I don't really care about the twice a day service. My goodness they are really over worked with little down time.....shame on NC. How about letting us get our own ICE??? I hate bothering them when they are sooo busy. I can easily get my own. ugh!
  24. I guess....but doesn't the entertainment generally go with them and they do the same games etc?
  25. I don't think I'd ever do a BTB....simply because I do not want to have everything I just did "repeated"....there is no way around that. I would skip on over to another cruise line and make your cruising flexable. Experince them all instead of sticking with one.
