Good morning, @kazu.
HAL changed the departure date for the Noordam's 28-day Coral Triangle, Volcanoes, and Great Barrier Reef cruise. We now leave Singapore on January 4, 2025 instead of January 5.
Thanks!
They better change the music by the time I get to the nursing home. 😁
HAL will never appeal to the next generation by promoting big band music and big band cruises.
@ShipWalker, thank you! I went into the play store and was able to update the existing app on my android phone without uninstalling the old app and reinstalling the new version.
In another post I mentioned that the assistant hotel manager said that licenses for things like LCS are increasingly expensive. He said that HAL wants to bring back classical music and is working on it.
I took 3 uniworld cruises pre covid and all tips were included. Their policy has apparently changed since then. I wonder if the front desk will break larger bills?
I observed that many passengers didn't have a grasp of basic functions on their phones, such as putting it in airplane mode. Posters in this forum have reported not knowing where/how to download dinner menus. So I can see where an hour long class, including time for questions, is warranted.
Yesterday I received an Explore With More Offer from HAL. Besides the usual suspects - free kids' fares, wifi, specialty dining, and beverage pkg. - it includes a $500 air credit on Europe cruises. I think this is the first time I've seen HAL offer an air credit.
I received an email from Uniworld about 2 new ships - Victoria and Elisabeth. One goes into service in 2024 and the other in 2025. Are those the Crystal river ships?
