  1. I seem to remember the refresh icon was not easy to find. I finally located it on the page headed Daily Planner... It took me ages to find it and I too felt stupid. Good luck.
  2. I have sailed from Barcelona twice and was staying in a hotel on La Rambla. I walked down La Rambla which is a very easy walk as it is so wide, and quite deserted at the time I went. Cross over at the bottom of the road, and there is a regular port shuttle bus to the ships that are docked in port. It was very simple. I am not particularly sprightly and found it to be very straightforward. I was staying only about half way up La Rambla, so maybe would not have done this if I was at the far end.
  3. I remember Select dining working well when it was first implemented. I believe reservations were not possible then, or at least, not the norm. Now with so many reservations being made pre cruise it is basically impossible to just walk in, as was the original idea. On my next cruise there are no times (for reservations) available in Select between 6:30 and 8:15 in my planner. Do Celebrity only book out a percentage of tables to allow walk ins? If so, does anyone know what percentage that would be?
  4. Once on board you collect your 'plastic card thing' from the slot outside your cabin. Then you can ditch the paper xpress pass.
  5. I have usually ended up being seated in the same area each night, which is OK if I like the area. I once tried to see if I would get a different area by entering by the opposite door - but still ended up being walked all around to the same place again. If I am given a pager I am wondering if I have to wait until somewhere in that same area is free, even if tables are available elsewhere in other areas?? After reading the responses on this thread I think I should discuss it more with the host / ess if I am not happy with the table I get.
  6. Thanks for all the responses. It seems a bit hit or miss at the moment then. 😕 I sailed on Silhouette twice last year, and Reflection earlier this year, and on those sailings there was no drinks service in the theatre. I hope the lack of this service, still reported by some above, is only temporary. I loved being able to order a drink whilst settled in my theatre seat, but then it is the little things that please me. 🍸🍷
  7. On my cruises since the restart after lockdown there was no drink service in the theatre. I quite understand the reasons why this was the new norm and there were long queues at the nearest bars to get a drink to take in. But with cruising returning to normal I wonder if the drink service in the theatre has returned. Can anyone on board now advise on this please. Most specifically on the Silhouette as I will be on board again soon. Thanks.
  8. That all sounds good - but didn't the cruise line refund/ reimburse for the missed cruise days? I don't know what Regent's Covid policy is/was, but I believe Celebrity would have covered that situation without the need to claim on insurance. Or am I wrong? I always have travel insurance and hope everyone does, but Celebrity seemed to cover most Covid problems.
  9. My favourite itinerary is not available on Celebrity and I have cruised it on other cruise lines. But I would much rather be able to do it on Celebrity. It is a Transatlantic crossing that includes a few Caribbean Islands. Coming from UK, I don't really want to visit several European ports before the crossing just to then stop at Bahamas before docking in Miami to fly home. Or vice versa. It is not really warm weather until a good way across the Atlantic. The only exception to the temperature would be the itinerary that visits Canary Islands on the way, but that is a popular holiday destination for Europeans so also possibly well visited. I understand many cruisers from North America will have probably visited several Caribbean Islands so that would not be so popular with them. But cruisers from U.K. and Europe have also probably already visited most of the European ports. I would love Celebrity to do a cruise that spends time in the Caribbean and includes the Transatlantic crossing.
  10. All you need is here FAQs: Dress Code & How to Dress on a Cruise | Celebrity Cruises
  11. Just as likely that the increase in booking is due to unvaccinated making bookings and will follow the testing guidance for unvaccinated.
  12. As previously stated, on Silhouette, there are three sockets, 2 x U.S. and one EU. Just a note that the voltage is different and if you are using U.K. appliances they work better in the E.U. socket. I didn't find any USB ports anywhere. Would love to know if anyone found any???
  13. Don't forget all the cruises that had been Lifted and Shifted several times due to Covid - no All Included when they were booked!!
  14. I have tried to find the answer to tipping for room service and it is not something that is spelled out on the website. I have used room service for breakfast a couple of times a few years ago, and the server was in and out so fast, there was no chance to tip.
  15. I choose starboard for a west to east Transatlantic, and port side for east to west. I prefer to have a south-ish facing balcony for the chance of more sun and less time in the shade. It seems to work for me, but of course the ship is not following a straight course all the time, but predominately does.
  16. It is useful to have read all the thoughts on the Infinite Veranda / Balcony that have been aired on Cruise Critic. I feel sorry for those that have not, and go ahead and book a 'balcony' cabin without this knowledge. I know I would be disappointed if I had expected to be able to spend time sitting outside on my balcony, but ended up sitting inside by an open window!!
  17. I was a bit nervous to phone Celebrity UK this morning to upgrade my beverage package after reading your post. But I got through and completed it within 10 minutes. Possibly it is to do with the number called and the choices made at the beginning of the call, some lines must be busier than others. I think I must have been lucky. The number I called was 0344 493 2043. I hope you manage to get through and get your question answered. I agree, an hour to wait for Customer Services is ridiculous! Enough to put anyone off 😕
  18. If you go to the Celebrity App, and click the Profile tab, the one on the right of the three tabs at the top, this will give you the date your check in opens. Then you can be ready to complete your check in as soon as it is available.
  19. Yes, definitely you can order more than one appetiser and Entree from the MDR menu. A few years ago the menu had Appetisers, then Salads, followed by Entrees. It was the norm to order from each section. This was merged into just Appetisers and Entrees, but many still want the extra course and choice. Order what you want, and as many as you want. 😁
  20. This is what I have found too. I point to something and say 'just a little' and a massive amount is put on my plate, and I have to stop even more coming. I hate leaving food in a buffet as if I take it I eat it. On my last couple of cruises I always ended up leaving food on my plate. This may be a stupid question, so I apologise in advance, but would disposable gloves be something that would solve the worry of sharing the utensils? That would be relatively easy to set up.
  21. I have also sailed many times on Celebrity, and this was the only time I saw these little black square bottles. I think the answer is in what the Cabin Steward told me. Once the ship is Revolutionised the large pump action bottles will be in the shower. They tried leaving them in the bathrooms, but in some cases there was not room. Hence the baby bottles. To help the original poster, I would say expect anything. I think they are trying to get a solution and testing things out. So be prepared. Possibly in the suite bathrooms there is enough room on the counter top and the large bottles will be there.
  22. I don't expect so. And I really do not want to be the one causing the blockage that affects the whole deck. 🤫 But there is nothing to say how many single tissue layers you can use together. Presumably each layer is made to disintegrate, so surely that is what it will do..
  23. Yes, the small white bottles were not too bad, you could get stuff out of them and read the writing on the outside. I loved the Bigelow ones on Silhouette in the shower, which is why I took no toiletries with me that I would be doubling up on. So you had the big bottles, but not attached to the shower wall? That sounds about right. The Steward said once the ship is 'revolutionised' the big ones will be in the shower. He also said they tried leaving the big bottles, but then it was a space issue for some. Maybe that was at the time you were on Reflection. The small black ones on Reflection (3rd May, Rome) did not squeeze at all, you just had to keep shaking until something came out, if you were lucky. We were originally left 3 of each variety that did not last long. Goodness knows what will be provided when the OP travels - pot luck, I guess. 🤔 Attached is a picture of the four little square black bottles, I haven.t imagined it. Sorry, can't work out how to get the picture right way up.
  24. Maybe it depends on the cabin category. I sailed on Silhouette twice last year and loved the large bottles of toiletry products mounted in the shower. So when setting off for my Reflection cruise from Rome in May this year I lightened my load by leaving my toiletries at home. Big mistake. I was in a Concierge cabin, and only tiny little black bottles were there. The writing was so difficult to read, especially when in the shower it was hopeless. We also had to ask the cabin steward to be sure he always left a good supply for us. Luckily I will be back on Silhouette in October.
  25. I struggled with this a few months ago. I finally contacted Celebrity (via Twitter) to ask why my 2 attempts at uploading the Covid Pass was not accepted. They looked into it for me and explained the first one I uploaded was 'a bit fuzzy', so presumably I had moved when taking the photo, and my second attempt had glare from a screen I was taking the photo from. It was suggested I print out the Covid Pass and upload a photo of that. It was then accepted, and I had the printed copy to show at the port if necessary. Good Luck.
