  1. I agree. And don't get fooled if somebody suggests a Muskoka chair as a substitute... same thing, different cottage country!
  2. Further to what mom says provided... as I understand it, the ship arrives in Quebec on a Thursday and is in overnight. That means an earlyish departure on Friday morning ought not be a problem. The train station in Quebec is located close by the cruise port. The train station for Montreal airport (YUL) is located close to the airport (the stop is called Dorval, which is the municipality in which the airport is located). There is a free shuttle for Via Rail ticket holders from Dorval to YUL. I have attached a screen shot of a typical train itinerary for information. This is a lot of fooling around to fly out of YUL instead of YQB... I'm sure there are good reasons!
  3. When is your flight out of Montreal (YUL)? You need to plan back from that to figure out the best way to transfer from Quebec to YUL.
  4. On a slightly different note... I was planning a big trip to Paris and other locations in France for the summer of 2024 until my wife reminded me where the Summer Olympics are being held next year.
  5. You may very well be eligible to claim Canadian citizenship... especially true if you can readily identify the difference(s) between real maple syrup and imposters (ie. Aunt Jemima and anything from New England). https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/eligibility/already-citizen.html
  6. As it turned out, nothing had changed from the last time I needed to get on and do something for four upcoming cruises.
  7. My wife enjoyed the best lobster dinner of her life in Cornwall.
  8. That's because fhey figure you'll delete the first couple without pressing on the acknowledgement link.
  9. Why exactly are you concerned? The lawyers have included language in the contract to try to cover eventualities that may or may not occur. I'd say all of this is pretty standard stuff nowadays.
  10. So, as I understand it, the photos and notes (the records) are what are necessary to remind you of many of those great places you visited in Ontario? I'm sure you would remember running into a moose if that had happened; photos or notes notwithstanding.
  11. Under 18 are exempted from having to show proof of full vaccination.
  12. I suppose if the act of writing something down cements the occasion/event in your memory then you're OK as long as you don't (later) refer to the written record... best to have burned it or, better yet, eaten it.
  13. That's not remembering something, it's writing it down.... you're 'cheating' a bit!
  14. Huh... I'm gonna have a look at my upcoming cruises just for the fun of it!!
  15. I can't. Additionally, I hope 'she' has access to job training opportunities. Lastly, be careful on beaches taking home a bag of sand. That could land you in a peck of trouble.
  16. Would that be per trip to the buffet line or an entire feeding frenzy?
  17. Shells also stabilize the sand by providing an attachment surface for seagrass and act as nesting material for shore birds. Removing shells from a beach alters the physical characteristics of its sediment, disturbing the natural environment and leading to shore erosion.
  18. I suggest you re-read post #1... apparently it is inevitable, and taking precautions to avoid contracting covid is pretty much not time well spent according to the OP.
  19. The figure is shown wearing a capirote... I'm sure those that still wear them would not like to be associated with the KKK. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capirote
  20. It is not inevitable that you will get into a car accident (or catch covid). Seat belts are worn for safety in the event there is a situation where they may eliminate or reduce injury.
  21. Things didn't go as well for you there as you had hoped?
  22. Most of the discussion seems to have been around European ports except Ocho Rios was just thrown into the mix. I'd say a good port to not bother going ashore is Colon, Panama. If you feel a need to do something while tied up there, a ship excursion is essential.... not even the leg-stretching!
