  2. Please email me at: SailingNomads at outlook.com and I will gladly assist you
  3. Do not know your itinerary but typically has been 1st sea day.
  4. Do Diamond members have to pay to upgrade to the premium package?
  5. Agree totally, if going to Colonnade we go early to avoid the trivia rush, but we prefer MDR if open unless a theme we really like: German or Mexican are our favorites to go to the Colonnade.
  6. Totally agree with last 2 posts. Many choices of Spirits are good (but not all), but the included wines are not something I would have in my collection at home.
  7. Hi J, Plenty of 2 tops, just lots of folks who like to dine when it opens is more the case. Unlike on Seabourn O-class ships where the MDR can - theoretically at least, but why were there always people standing during the muster drills? - seat everyone Compass Rose can not. With 35 dinners now on Regent ships only once did we and our traveling companions share a table, but only because we met the folks who were in front of us in the line.
  8. Agree with most of what CLOU said except that we did find Loula to be one of the better CD's now that most of the good ones have departed. We find the food, unfortunately, to be not what it used to be.
  9. Frantic36 depending on the weather, try to sit outside @ Setti Mari. And yes as ON Cruiser suggests, go talk to the Maitre Di and say I'll be here let me know when a table is available - works for us last cruise on Grandeur. Best to Keith! email me when you have time.
  10. Yes my friend, no problem tables for 2 and depending on the day and venue easy to get even earlier if you chose.
  11. It is in the daily Passages but obviously ignored. Agree that they should do what they did on the Splendor when we were on last April.
  12. We sailed Miami to LA and other than the ports that got deleted - and the chair hogs - we had no issues. Service was very good as was the food. Beautiful ship. Stayed in a PH on deck 14 did hear a little noise one day from next suite but not terrible.
  13. My opinions: 1) I would NEVER pay to go to the Retreat, it defies everything that originally attracted me to Seabourn; 2) I agree Silversea pricing is confusing, looked at an interesting itinerary that was a B2B and if booked each segment can do port to port but the whole thing requires door to door, why is that. Turned me off but might have my TA look into it. Also do not like that there is an upcharge restaurant; 3) Have sailed twice on Regent and will be back on board in under 3 weeks, every lounge chair is padded (why can't Seabourn do that instead of uncomfortable chairs around the pool?). On our Regent cruises Compass Rose (MDR) open for breakfast every single day. Port days one specialty restaurant open for sit down service; sea days 2 open. Big unobstructed walking track, no ducking chairs sticking out; pickleball / paddle tennis court, mini-golf, driving net, bocce ball court. Better options of included wines. New ships are very nice. Included laundry from day 1, last cruise was always back next day and a few times same day. Pricing: Regent offers included air or you can take a credit which we have done but with a trans Atlantic in 2025 will see if we can take advantage of it as 1-way biz class tickets are ridiculous. Regent and Silversea have included tours which you are paying for. We have only done a couple of the included Regent tours, one was quite good the other not so much, but we accept that we are paying for something we mostly will not take advantage of for the other benefits of the total Regent experience. Seabourn loyalty program is better than Regents. Like Seabourn's layout of Sky Bar with tables you can sit at vs. Regent that only has 10 or so bar chair and no place to just sit by the bar. Regent only allows smoking in a contained area so no smokers at or near the pool bar. All tables at Pool Grill (similar to Patio Grill) are covered so can always have a table not in the sun. Seabourn senior officers much more friendly than Regent's. Regent does not have the on deck events like Seabourn does. Don't get me wrong, we have done 20 Seabourn cruises and have 2 more booked but no longer is Seabourn our only or even 1st choice given the changes over the last 6 or so years in the product. We have also done 3 cruises on Scenic Eclipse I & II and if the design of the ships were better that would be our #1 line, especially since: size of ship; food; and many of the crew are former Seabourn employees so we know lots of them and they know us. And will be trying Explora in April which looks very interesting.
  14. Yes we had multiple ports removed from our Regent Christmas / New Years cruise on the Grandeur, but... Regent compensated us with $500 OBC and a 10% discount (based on what we paid) on a future cruise. Nothing from Seabourn for removing the ports in Turkey except a note that the itinerary has been changed with no explanation. A big difference in customer service and retention IMO.
  15. And Regent needs some good Mezcal... At every bar
  16. I agree with asking a bartender (If not crush time) to make something unique or that you like. On our recent Grandeur cruise I asked Ronnlyn (sp?) to make a Pain Killer and gave her the basic ingredients, she had no idea but she nailed it! On every cruise I ask a bar tender who I think knows something about drinks to make me a rum drink so long as no grenadine - the worst thing to put in a drink. (I can make some good drinks at home so I like to challenge them) Best mixologists are (so far in my experience) on Scenic, those folks make amazing drinks.
  17. I can do without the included excursions as we prefer to do our our thing, and the last upcharge Regent excursion was a total waste of money. We have not yet used the airfare as when we proposed an itinerary it was not even considered by Regent air, but we have a TA in 2025 so we will see how that goes. 1 way to/from Europe is crazy on your own. Will be on the Splendor in 3 weeks from now and looking forward to it! Having sailed on multiple luxury lines now 27 cruises (Seabourn, old Crystal, Scenic) Regent has so much to offer from our perspective. I suspect Regent is MUCH more per diem than other lines due to the included excursions. You can take the air credit if you want - unlike on SilverSea which I was recently looking at. We are booked on an Explora cruise and it looks to be amazing but is it all inclusive based on some posts? Some reviews make you wonder if the guest is the person in charge or the corporate policy. Love the included laundry on Regent from 1st time you set foot on the ship.
  18. And SB pulled all the stops in Turkey - a reason we booked that cruise in addition to it fitting with our river cruise - from our August cruise despite that cruises before and after are going to Turkey, No reason given. Smells like bad fowl to me. Nataly step up and share please or I'll keep booking elsewhere as I'll be once again on a great Regent ship in 3 weeks when SB could have had my business.
  19. Worse as no missiles being fired at your ship during C19
  20. Regent is so much easier. Email it like Seabourn used to do, why do we want a 3rd party app seeing details of what we own? So much for new President fixing things I guess.
  21. There is a pickleball / paddle tennis court. (We used it just a couple of hours ago). Great walking area on deck 12. Gym has plenty of treadmills a few rowing machines and bicycle machines.
  22. There are many good and some not so good things on this cruise. Overall we have really liked the food, which of course is very subjective, but getting a dish that is only warm at best is not 5*, no food from the lunch buffet in La Veranda has been close to hot. Service has mostly been very good, well I went for breakfast today and waited 7+ minutes until someone asked if I wanted a coffee. Not 5* Service at the bars (dare I write this as 2 nights to go) has been excellent with no complaints except for the bottle of red wine that clearly should have been discarded 2 days earlier. Chair hogs, yes the (I think English) couple who had 6 chairs between them, really pitiful inconsiderate people, who were not on any of them for 5 hours. The self important entitled person who brings her dog to restaurants. The entertainment is probably the best we have had on 27 cruises. No recognition by name other than from our butler, room attendant, and one waiter in Prime 7. I remember our first cruise on Seabourn 15 years ago going to breakfast the first morning and 10 people addressed us by name. Not on Regent. Do not find the officers to be very friendly, except for the Captain. Nor the CD or social host. Issues with our not inexpensive suite, most of which should have been resolved before the ship first sailed. Butler has been great. Included wines are some of the best of any sailing I have been on. Only did 1 ship tour - which was an upcharge and it was disappointing, lesson learned. We usually do not do ship tours but thought since there was an upcharge it would be OK. Jorge the Maître Di, who we know from our cruise last year on the Splendor is great. Everyone has their opinion. This is mine.
  23. Same result for us, saved thousands. 🤑
  24. Sending you our best. Many of us have had health issues and recovered and some people I know never did. I hope your husband's treatment is successful even though we have never met I will keep him in my prayers, yes they do work!!!!
