GSC Clamshells

Are the clamshell rentals on GSC:

First come, first serve on the island?

Through Guest Services aboard ship?

Through the "excursions" page on NCL.com?

You book them at the Shore Excursion Desk onboard the ship.

Then...when you get to the island, you give your ticket to the attendant and claim your clamshell. First come, first claimed...as it were.

The great thing about booking a clamshell is that you get priority tendering. We did up sitting in Headliners for about an hour and then a staff member lead us to where we boarded the tender.

I would recommend choosing one with a mesh panel, even in February it was nice to have a little breeze. Husband stayed happy there reading and having frosty drinks brought by.

For my cruise in March, the asking price for the clamshell was $39

Does it only fit two people? Does anyone have pictures? Ill try googling it.

Only fits two loungers.

There are shells on every beach. On the main beach, the are on the far right in front of the taco stand.

Great pic!! As referenced earlier about the mesh.... you can see in the second row the clamshell with the mesh panel. Highly recommended.

Also, clamshells are eligible to be used for excursion credit promo and Latitude Excursion discount.

And on a really hot day these are real helpful. Not a lot of shade! We would have been done right after lunch if not for the clamshell.
