Rare Scrapnana Posted July 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Zaandam is scheduled to be at the AS dock from 0800-2200. Volendam will be at the CT dock from 1300-2200. The weather is not going to be quite as nice as we have seen this week although it will still be warm (by Juneau standards). There is a 20% chance of rain and cloudy skies are forecast. The high will be 71F/22C and the low 55F/13C. Sunrise is at 4:02 am and sunset at 10:02 pm. The only other ship in port is Disney Wonder at the AJ dock from 0600-1700. The PTZtv webcam can be found at http://www.juneauharborwebcam.com/. Next up: Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam on Monday.

Rare rafinmd Posted July 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Out in the clear. Can I go off topic for a moment. I see you are getting off the Elegant Explorer the day we get on and I don't think we sail until 9PM. Do you and Kathi think it would be feasible to meet for lunch before you finally head home? Happily@Sea Posted July 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted July 6, 2018 I have to catch the 12:30 Amtrak train in Ft Lauderdale. Sorry, otherwise I have to get a hotel room for that night.

Happily@Sea Posted July 6, 2018 #14 Share Posted July 6, 2018 If they'd had that close-up on my Zaandam cruise to Seattle, I probably would have been on camera on the walking deck.
Rare rafinmd Posted July 6, 2018 #15 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Kind of an odd approach to the dock. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted July 6, 2018 #16 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Definitely better docking views when the ship faces us. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted July 6, 2018 #17 Share Posted July 6, 2018 VERY nice zooms. At least we get something for having the Zaandam blocking the Volendam's arrival. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted July 6, 2018 #18 Share Posted July 6, 2018 I guess that's it for now. For me both the Volendam and then QM2 leaving NY this afternoon. Roy
Happily@Sea Posted July 6, 2018 #19 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Well, that's it for me until later - about 4 hours. Gorgeous close-ups.
Rare Vict0riann Posted July 6, 2018 #20 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Missed again! But then, I shouldn't even be here, our new appliances are being delivered, even as we speak. And I may not be here later, as we have to go to a stone place to try to make a decision on a countertop. I'm finding the decision-making getting harder and harder. I need to be at sea - or maybe I am all at sea!

Rare Vict0riann Posted July 6, 2018 #25 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Disney Wonder first... then Volendam:) That's strange - Disney Wonder is already docked, right? But she is showing on the map as just ahead of Volendam.
