Hi,

I am booked on 14 night Reflection visiting Southern Caribbean Dec 7-21. Cost approx. 5K. Included drink pkg, prepaid grats and 500 OBC. I am booked in Aqua Class.

I just put a hold on 10 night Epic in SPA Haven for Western Caribbean Dec 5-15. Cost approx. 7k. Includes drink pkg, 50 per port, dining pkg, 250 wi-fi and 400 OBC.

Which would you choose and why?

Thanks so much!

I hope you are kidding about asking which one to choose

Celebrity. Longer cruise. Better ports. Reflection is a beautiful ship. Covered pool. You're in Aqua Class.

The only reason I was considering it was because we were on Escape Haven once and the Haven is very nice. But the 14 night Celebrity itinerary is so nice and we have never visited the ABC islands. We sailed on Eclipse once but this is the first time in the Aqua class. Thank you for your feedback.

First, of all the celebrity price for 14 nights is great. To me it's a no brainer to go with Celebrity. I have been on both ships and Reflection is hands down a much nicer experience. Aqua class is a standard balcony room but you get access to your own restaurant, Blu and you get passes to the Persian Garden spa. The Haven spa suite is a little bit bigger but with a standard balcony. Either way you get a private dining venue and included access to the spa. I'd go with the nicer ship, less money, longer itinerary route myself.

NCL is great! But I have sailed both, with the Epic twice, and I would easily pick the Reflection. The ship is fantastic, probably one of the prettiest at sea in my opinion of the solstice class, food is great, more ports, more days, and southern is better than western. The only thing that I would say about the Epic would be the larger variety of activities, and better entertainment. If that stuff matters, I would choose NCL. Other than that for the ports alone I would pick Celebrity

I would definitely choose the Southern Caribbean cruise on Celebrity. Why? Because it's a few days longer, cheaper. with better perks.

Also, I prefer the Southern Caribbean to the Western. I would not choose the Epic, because of the cabin/bathroom configuration.

I am little surprised having this posted on NCL site that the consensus is the Celebrity Reflection.

Most of us have sailed other lines. Celebrity is by far superior to NCL for many things. The beverage package. Service. Food. Martini Bar. Adult Solarium. No smoking inside the ship, including the casino.

We've sailed the Reflection twice. Once when it was brand new and then a few months later. Loved it both times. Been on the Eclipse, the Solstice, the Equinox and the Summit each a few times and will be on the Silhouette this coming winter.

The thing we love best about NCL is sailing from or to our homeport, NYC.

Not everyone sticks with only one line. NCL is fun and easy for us out of NY. We do love them.

We have sailed lots of different lines over the years.

Thanks for all the great advice. I am going to stick with 14 Night on Reflection. I have 2 Next certificates on NCL that I need to use and the only time I've been on NCL we won a bid in Haven. I'm not positive but I think the only reason we enjoyed that cruise so much was because of the Haven. The pools on the Escape were crazy. The ship was beautiful but everything was so busy. The pool looked like a frat party. So we will stay with the Reflection and I will look for reasonable deal on a Haven in 2019 or 2020.
