Casino MLife

Will be on Reflection in March and a lot of our night time entertainment will be in the casino (also daytime for March Madness). Read varying information on Celebrity still being connected with MLife (some say yes ...new contract, others say no). We are MLife members from going to Vegas (mostly Aria) and would like to get points if we could. Also varying info on how best to get comps on board. Heard at one time if you put up certain amount $$ they would give you a premium on top of that. Can my wife and I play on same card to maximize our points? Know this are many questions and only casino people would know

I don't know if it's done on all cruises, but the last few I've been on, including Millennium last week, the casino would give you $575 in slot play for $500 paid upfront. This offer was only available during the first two days of the cruise.

Thank you Mad Man Will certainly look into this early on

No points earned but you can get some onboard credits if you're M life Gold and above. See: https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/mlife-rewards-program/preferred-partners/royal-caribbean-and-celebrity-cruises.html

I never knew M life and Celebrity had these offers.

I am only Sapphire on M life, and the only perk I see for Sapphire is "Quarterly Exclusive Cruise Offers" - yet I have no idea how to see those offers. I tried going through Celebrity's website and M life's website - with no success.

Do you know anything about this, or how I can find out?

Thanks :)

If you are a high level on Captains Club, don't forget the perks work both ways. We are Elite Plus on Celebrity, so are able to get a Platinum M Life card. Truthfully it doesn't give you a lot of perks, but you can get free parking. You will also get a room upgrade, but they no longer will upgrade you to a suite - only to a strip view. But we have been able to get less expensive suite upgrades upon asking - around $50 a night for their smallest suite is our latest experience. The other two perks semi-helpful are entry to one of four MLife property experiences (Shark Reef, NYNY Rollercoaster, Mirage Siegfried and Roys Garden, and the Bellaggio Fine Arts museum or whatever that is called), and the special Platinum line at the Buffet. There are supposedly discounts for shows, but we found even with the discounts we could get better prices with advertised specials.

One thing to note - you need to contact them (MLife) annually to get the Platinum card renewed. And as of a couple months ago we were still able to get the upgraded card so I think their partnership is still in force.

We were just in Las Vegas two weeks ago, and I checked this out. We are only "Classic" in the Captain's Club, but this got us upgraded from the entry level in M Life to the "Pearl" level. Pearl level includes free parking, which made it worthwhile to me.

You will receive them via the email you have on file. Sometimes, they are pretty good ... but at the Sapphire Level, it won't be much of anything (I don't mean to sound discouraging, but that is what it is).

The older program was better as it would offer us 20% off our cruise rate at the Gold level (with Mlife) as well as some free cocktails in the casino and a specialty dinner for two for each guest that earned their status through play at Mlife casinos.

I believe the specialty dinner was replaced now by the onboard credit as many people were seen as taking advantage of this and it made a lot of extra work for the casino hosts onboard to be checking on the current Mlife status for those making dinner reservations under the casino onboard.

Just of note, sometimes you can almost end up with equal value at a travel agent with good perks. If you book a reservation under one of the casino promotions, your travel agent will be the onboard casino. So, even if you see an offer, it still makes sense to check out the costs / perks of that same reservation under a reputable TA. They could still add your Mlife player's club number for any little perks you might receive. They no longer add your points that you've earned on the cruise to your Mlife account.

It's still a decent perk but not as good as was over the last few years when it first came out....seems to me that was back in 2015.

I figured it wouldn't be much, but thank you for the explanation :)

It used to be better ... on both ends, but they've tightened it up since the economy improved. We're still thankful for anything we receive that isn't normally included, though!

If you plan on gambling on the ship, don't forget to look into the Blue Chip Club while onboard. You won't get benefits from Mlife + the Blue Chip Club, but maybe one or the other. Hopefully, you will still come out ahead!

Just found this post , so a little late to post here but forgive me. What do I need to do to get my MLife level upgraded? Do I take something to prove I'm a Captain's Club member to the MLife desk? We're going to Vegas in November and I'd like to get Pearl status. Thanks for info.

On Eclipse last week, they had this at various times for both slots and table games. Up to three offers ($1500) per seapass card. The special chips (and especially the bonuses) are a bit of a pain to play with, but worth it for the 15% discount.

Here is what worked for me. I had no MLife membership, but I filled out whatever I needed to fill out, and then brought up my Celebrity account on my phone, showing that I was "Classic." That was all it took to get a Pearl membership instead of their entry level.

Then when I went up to "Select" level after our last cruise, I called MLife. They were able to check while I was on the phone to verify my Select level, so they upgraded my membership to Gold level, but I had to pick up the new card in Vegas on a later trip as they cannot mail it out.

Visited Vegas this weekend. I tried to get my Mlife and Celebrity accounts linked but the front desk said they no longer partner with RCCL or Celebrity. It seems others on this thread have had some success, but just giving you the latest info from an actual MGM hotel.

Try the Mlife desk not the hotel desk. The partnership is alive .

Here is the link to the Celebrity page on the MLife website, in the unlikely event you need to prove this to the MLife desk.

I agree with getting it all taken care of via email or phone call ahead of time. Provide Mlife with your Captins Club number with the request to upgrade your status. It oftentimes takes a couple of days so wouldn’t wait to do this when you are already in Vegas, especially if you are signing up for the free parking or a room upgrade.

Going on the Celebrity Summit. Leaving this Sunday. Will I get anything in the casino if I show my MLife card? Did not book with my MLife card but with my Celebrity Vacation Planner.

Call your Celebrity Vacation Planner now and have her transfer you to the Casino Dept. No harm in adding your Mlife number to your cruise reservation. If you go and the casino host has to look into it, your cruise may be over before getting your status with Mlife verified. There may be some onboard casino money involved depending on your Mlife status.

I suggest you call the Celebrity Casino line directly 888 858 4478. If you are Mlife Gold ( and didn't get it thru status match w/Celebrity) you just give them your mlife card number and Res # and you get $125. OBC.

Thanks for the info. I called the number. We are both Sapphire with MLife. The only benefit we have would be priority embarkation. We have that now since we are both Elite with Celebrity. I guess we have to gamble more when we are on land.

Yes, Saphhire won't get you much of anything on Celebrity ...

but, you should be able to get perks if you go to Las Vegas based on your Celebrity status.
