It's an ego boost to be a fleet captain. He was on ship, then based in Miami, then back to sea. They have to actually master a ship for a few years every 3-5 years. So he's worked at sea enough to keep his Master Mariners license so he's going back to what he did before.

Most Seamen decide to work ashore to be closer to their family and children after many years at sea. They are not all fleet captains and work in several functions. To keep a licence you just need to make one trip and some courses every five years. Captain Tor was on ships for about the last ten years.

If he does a 10 week rotation, the rotation date is March 31. He likes 11 week rotations so that would be April 7. So the short answer is no.

Captain Teo back on his favorite ship! I think that he was Indy's first master. Maybe they have brought him out of the office to do the refurb.

I think Captain Rob is the first one as Captain Rick just left the Oasis a couple of weeks ago.

Rob Hempstead is taking Symphony out to today for sea trial.

I just got off Indy and Capt Teo. He's only filling in until Capt Iv signs on. He started 3-4 voyages ago (I was on the 2-10 sailing) and I haven't figured out when he started but he was great and the crew love him. So this isn't a permanent assignment for him folks, he's only filling and that's what he told me.

The date is wrong for Captain Slaby. It’s like March 16. First time I’ve seen Martinsen onboard since he left NV a couple of years ago. Or has he been somewhere else.
