Gem Bar Advice for First Drink

Hi Everyone:

We are boarding the Gem Saturday for the Canada/New England cruise. The plan is to board early, get a Bushwacker, and head to the Grand Pacific Dining Room for a nice lunch. Can anyone who has been on the Gem lately recommend the best bar to go to for this first drink?

Not every bar is open right away... the Daily they give you when you check in will list which bars are open when. Generally the pool deck bars are open most often- I'd start there.

You might to check if you have to pay a sales tax while in port.

I second that opinion. One of our favorite locations on the Gem.

Bali Hai is where we started. Glad we did, too, since we waited in port for hours to get underway, apparently because the ship was waiting for supplies.

If you are going to the dining room for lunch you might as well just stop in the atrium.

Why not get it to go with your dinner by asking in the dining room.
