EB Hotel or Hampton Inn Brickell

I have both hotels booked for Feb. I have also rented a car to take me from FLL to Port of Miami with Budget (great rate). Just wondering if anyone has comments on either hotel and also renting car.

I would rather stay downtown then near the airport.

So if it was me I would go with the Hampton Inn which includes a nice breakfast and is near a lot of stores, restaurants, etc.

check the parking rates at the hotel they are not cheap

You could probably get UBER if you use it from FLL to Brickell & to the port for less hassle than a rental car

We stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Brickell this year and plan to stay again in April. We were very happy with the hotel, we were there 3 days after hurricane. Lots of restaurants within walking distance as well as grocery store, Hop On Hop Off Trolley and Metro mover.

Hotel has a for fee shuttle to port as well.

I agree with the above suggestion to skip the rental car - you do not need it and do not want to drive in Miami. Uber and Lyft are your friends! ;)

I will probably be the only one that will tell you to stay at EB :)

We have stayed there over 10 times with 2 bookings for next Spring. The rooms (deluxe) are phenomenal, just the ambiance of the hotel is fantastic. Great service, easy parking, yummy hotel.

It all depends what you want to do while you're in Miami. If you want to go beaching, strolling, lots of restaurants - you might want to consider somewhere else. But we go to Miami primarily for cruising and shopping (malls). Then EB is an excellent base (if you have a car).
