jerseymermaid Posted February 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2018 not sure if I ask this question here or not, but here goes. Does anyone know if you can ship things home from Grand Cayman? Thank you in advance.
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2018 You can ship home things you buy there but I’m not sure you could take anything off the ship to home. EM
klfrodo Posted February 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Of course you can. Check with DHL or FedEx. Going to be pricey though.

Rare Keith1010 Posted February 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2018 We really need more specifics. Are you talking about things you would take off the ship? Are you talking about things you purchase there? More information would allow for a more complete answer. Keith
paul929207 Posted February 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2018 You need to contact one of the shipping companies 9UPS, FedEx, etc) and deal with specifics with them.
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 21, 2018 HAL's rules are very simple. If you buy something in a port and want to send it home, you must go to a post office and buy boxes, etc. to have them sent home. You might want to check what the store where you bought the items will charge to send the items to your home. HAL does not allow you take items off the ship and then go to a post office to send them home. NOW -- I have no idea how HAL keeps tract of who takes items off the ship to send home. teknoge3k Posted February 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2018 I can't speak for packages of even the Cayman Islands but I do know in other ports, the mail doesn't run as fast as it does in the US. We've send postcards back home to family and friends from cruises and it literally took almost 2 months for them to get it. This was from various islands.
