St. Kitts Marriott - $35 pp for use of their beach, pool and facilities. Book directly through the hotel not through Resort For A Day where it was $50.

Yes, we do it on our own all the time. Taxis waiting outside of the secured area.

The one and only time we sailed to St Thomas, we went to Trunks Bay in St John's on a tour thru the ship. It was absolutely beautiful. This was on our honeymoon, 20 years ago!

I second this- providing trunk bay wasn’t destroyed in the hurricanes. It is stunning. You can go through a ship excursion or it’s also easy on your own.

When in St Thomas I always go over to St John, prefer Hawksnest Bay less crowded than Trunk Bay pictures from Dec 2015

When I was on St Kitts in November, I rented a car and went there on my own. There's a Avis right outside the port. The drive out there is beautiful.

Avis is a good choice if your a Cruise passenger easy to find and return. You can drive the whole island and still have time for one of the beaches

Discovery Beach bar in St. Kitts was wonderful

St. Thomas has two amazing beaches to choose from

1) Take ferry over to St. Johns and go to Trunk Bay. This is the best beach we've ever been to at any of our ports. (13)

2) Take a taxi on St. Thomas and go to Magens bay (our second fav)
