Eurodam Veranda Question

I have a veranda on my cruise. Is it big enough to comfortably have room service there and if so, do they charge an upcharge for delivery?

Most verandahs have small tables but the large Room Service tray could be balanced on it. You would have to hold plates on your lap. Neptune Suite tables are much larger.

Room Service is free 24/7 except for a few items. Here is the latest Room Service Menu:

What ship and cabin number? Non-suite verandas vary from 4.5 ft deep to 14 ft or so depending on ship and class of cabin. You can find many veranda pictures at halfacts.com, possibly for your exact cabin.

Delivery is free but many people give tips. We give give between $2 for a snack or light breakfast to $5 for a full dinner.

The forward and aft VE and VF have 6 ft deep balconies, the VA midship have 7 ft deep ones. Plenty of room but only a small (maybe 14" - 15") round table and a footstool to put stuff on. See http://halfacts.com/signature-class/8051-eurodam/ or http://halfacts.com/7134-nieuw-amsterdam/ for the VA. Although on a different class of ship, this cabin has a typical VE/VF veranda: http://halfacts.com/8021-oosterdam/ Edited by catl331

Room service tipping it totally in your own discretion, to to or not do. We see room service is an included dining option just like there is no tipping in the main dining room either or any other dining venue. Others differ in that perception. Your call. Your daily hotel service charge covers all ship's crew.

Remember I am coming from RCCL where half of the main dining room dinner menu has an upcharge and they charge a fee for room service.

Not really on regular size verandah balconies...we had signature suite in December and it had slightly more space but we still ended up eating in room when we ordered room service. But as noted, with a little rearrangement of the food on plates you might could do it if you could handle a plate in your lap and drink on table

Tipping for room service is not necessary but crew members sign up for extra shifts to deliver room service orders in HOPES of making a few extra dollars.

Those few dollars mean a lot more to the crew than they do to me. Makes me happy but that’s just me.
