My husband shot a series of time-lapses during our cruise aboard the Carnival Valor Eastern Caribbean Cruise, April 28 - May 6, 2012, departing from Miami with stops in Grand Turk, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Here's the video he put together of all the time-lapses!:

I have a gopro camera that I am thinking about taking with me and may try a few time lapses.

We used a Canon 5D Mark II. Awesome! The GoPro should work good, then you can get some cool underwater stuff as well!! :D

We almost didn't get that one... we were up on one of the very top decks, above the sport's deck, and a Carnival employee came up and told us we had to leave that deck, but we pleaded with him to let us stay at least until we made it out into the open ocean and he reluctantly agreed. So thank you Carnival employee, whoever you were!! :D
