How big is she?

Roughly same size as the other VIstas although there's a reconfiguration of the top couple of decks and some room categories have been relocated.

The Atrium/Ocean Bar glass piece certainly does look like Dale Chihuly's work.

At the Lido pool - could that be a water-wall at one end? That would be awfully cool! :)

All the interior renderings look like typical VFD work... I understand that a large part of the ship is to be designed by Yran & Storbraaten; I wonder which parts?

The atrium should be easy to decorate for Xmas...

In a break with 130 years of tradition, Holland America Line today announced that an animated cartoon character would serve as godmother of the line’s newest ship in July 2008. Marge Simpson, the popular housewife on “The Simpsons,” has agreed to fulfill a role that has long been an important element of maritime tradition.

Someone is having a little fun. I mean, the carpeting in the captain's quarters & then taking off the whole afternoon (that's a pot shot at the Italians & drinking too much vino :D ). The hard to reach part installation. Paris Hilton - rock goddess :eek: . Max Bialystock - too funny. The incorrect inaugural itinerary. Marge Simpson. The 50 salmon dishes on Alaskan itineraries - why would that be posted on an Edam webpage?

Actually, I have to admit the more I read the more I started to laugh. Someone really has a great sense of humor and a whole lot of time on their hands:D

Yeah. I knew the Max Bialystock name, too. (Two of my favorite movies---the original and the musical ;) ). But there's just enough in it that seems real, too.

Maybe someone putting out info has a wicked sense of humor? Or is trying to find out if his efforts are really read? ;)
