Cozumel Beaches

We're planning to go to Cozumel in Feb 2019. Are there any free beaches near the pier? Any suggestions on any other beaches in the area?

We went to Nachi-Cocum. Best all-inclusive package I know of. Not free, but really cheap and you get a lot more than a nice beach.

We’ve been to Paradise Beach twice and really enjoyed it. Admission is only $3 per person which entitles you to a chair at the pool or beach. You can buy food and drink and a “fun pass” to use things like kayaks, inflatables, etc.

You can easily get taxis at the port and they cost around $15.

There is a beach near the port, but Paradise Beach is so much nicer.

first of all the OP specifically said "free", $55 per person for Nachi-Cocum is not cheap. We might have a couple of beers and a taco, surely not worth $110 to us. We always do the ala carte beaches. With Cheers, we are living on an all inclusive ship.

I have been to both places listed here. If you want something nice without all of the food and drinks, Paradise Beach is the place. Very nice and clean. I am going there again in November on my next cruise.

We are going back to Paradise beach too!!!

Closer is the Money Bar, which offers good snorkeling from the shore but no real beach. No admission fee, taxi will be about $12 each way compared to $17 to PB, Sanchos, Nachi, etc. Good facilities, lockers, rental gear if needed, and good food, drinks and service. Sunset happy hour if your ship is staying late. :cool:

We’ve been to the Money Bar several times. My husband loves to snorkel and says that it is the best shore snorkeling in Cozumel. They have a “beach area” with loungers and tables. Generous portions sizes for the food and reasonable prices. No admission fee.
