There was a derived rum based old fashoned that was good on the Summit. using Ron Zacapa Solera Grand Reserve rum

I love painkillers! I ordered one on Summit at the pool bar last March. The bartender made it and it was AWFUL!! I never ordered another one on board.

We're off to St John for this winter's vacation, a villa vacation on my favorite Caribbean island. We will feel drinking delicious Painkillers there the whole time. We will probably make a trip to Jost Van Dyke to the Soggy Dollar Bar to have the best Painkillers anywhere on earth!!

Garnish: Pineapple Wedge

1.5 oz Malibu Coconut

4 oz Island Oasis Passion Fruit

0.5 oz Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur (Bottom Float)

Preparation: Pour Chambord in bottom Cuvée glass.

Blend and pour remaining ingredients

Attached is a page from the Molecular Bar menu, the last item is the Kentucky Derby. Also attached, a photo of my hubby drinking one.

The south of rio from molecular bar (not on the menu). A spicy drink with jalapeno infused Cachaca. Also another off the menu El Bombero a spicy drink with mango puree and tabassco.

The menus vary from bar to bar and usually only show a small selection of what is actual available.

What are your favorite drinks, any must try recommendations?

Up to now we enjoyed most the Pomegranate Mojitos, Molecular Bar Drinks and beer selection.

We will have the Premium Package already booked in advance.

I too had the premium package on our last cruise, and I have it again for our upcoming February cruise...

Since likes and dislikes are so subjective...may I suggest that you do what I did...I closed my eyes and picked a page from the molecular bar menu...I started at the top and kept going, drink by drink down the page, throughout the cruise until I found a winner. However, my problem was that I found more than one winner...so I had to keep going back to the bar and reordering, just to try to narrow it down.

As it turned out, the most unlikely choice turned out to be one of my favourites...it had fresh rose petals...who'd of thought!!! Like I said...its very subjective.

Whatever you do decide to choose from the molecular bar menu, you can be sure the it will be amazing, because the drinks are designed to appeal to all your senses, which is truly an experience that you don't want to miss.

Just off Equinox - had prem pkg. Since it was warm Carib itinerary, everyday I had a Coco-rita smoothie (includes Patron Tequila, strawberry puree, coconut, other? ) from new "Slush" bar near main pool. Normally $10.:eek: BTW, gained 4 lbs in 10 days cruise.:D

Got friendly with bartender and ended up blending ingredients of "Tart/Tasty" offering with Coco-rita. They have other smoothies featuring rum or gin. Prem pkg is great for experimenting.

Not Celebrity but on another cruise line I had sidecars made with bourbon instead of cognac or brandy. Was very good.

My drinks of choice are a Vodka Gimlet shaken not stirred and a Blue Sapphire which is Bombay Sapphire Gin Martini with a shot of blue Curacao.

Last drink can't remember the name...it was the fifth drink in our tasting at the Molecular Bar but it had Godiva Chocolate Liquor and Raspberry Liquor and more...YUM:D:D
