quad in suites

It doesn't look like any of the suites accommodate more than 3 (and only the SB & SC's in the aft corners which are triples).

Is this true? looks like best category that can accommodate 4 is VB.

Part of the sofa turns into a bed in tyhe suites. It can accomodate 4 people but you had better be real good friends as there will not be a lot of privacy and it will be a little cramped.

The large balcony and the table outside will make things a little easier if you have good weather.

Have done it once on a 7 day cruise.

In answering your post on another thread, I referred to the Superior Verandah Suites and since have found that only the Deluxe Suites can handle quad. From the HAL website Deluxe Verandah Suites (SA anyway) include:

2 lower beds convertible to 1 king-size bed, bathroom with dual sink vanity, full-size whirlpool bath, shower and additional shower stall, large sitting area, dressing room, private verandah, 1 SOFA BED FOR TWO PERSONS, floor-to-ceiling windows. Approximately 510-700 sq. ft. with verandah

Suite amenities ALSO include:

Complimentary laundry, pressing and dry cleaning throughout your cruise

Premium duvet, oversize bath towels and soft, cotton bathrobes and slippers

Gorgeous corsages and boutonnieres for the first formal night

Hors d'oeuvres served before dinner each evening on request

Binoculars and umbrellas for your use on the cruise

Cocktail party with ship officers

Priority boarding for tender ports of call

Special disembarkation service

Priority dining and seating requests

Exclusive daily breakfast service for suite guests only

High tea service in suite on request

A special Suite guest lunch event on cruises over 7 days in length

Neptune Lounge: A very special amenity exclusively for guests cruising in a Deluxe Verandah Suite or Penthouse Verandah Suite, the industry-leading Neptune Lounge features a private place to relax, socialize with other suite guests and enjoy the personalized service of a concierge. The fleet-wide lounges provide worktables, large screen television, library, sofas and chairs, refreshments throughout the day and wi-fi for a small charge. One-Touch 24-hour Concierge Service is available when the Neptune Lounge is closed.

While the Suite will accommodate a quad, the price may be more then two adjoining rooms in a less pricey category.

Happy Cruising!

We have some great friends, some from CC in fact, but no way, no how are we sharing any cabin with another couple. :D The only cabin that could have possibly been workable was a Royal Suite we had on the old Celebrity Galaxy as that was truly two separate rooms but still only one bath and you had to go through the bedroom to get to it. Nope, love you all, but it isn't happening. :)

To clarify what's already been said: most Deluxe Suites will accommodate 4 people. The sofa folds out in the usual way you're used to on land, into a queen bed, which is pretty comfortable as sofa beds go.

If it's a suite, and there is no special symbol or doodad marked on that cabin on the HAL deck plans, then the suite holds 4.

A few deluxe suites only have a sofa bed for one. You've already found those, the SC suites - aft corner - on the Vista ships. They only hold 3 people. On deck plans, the key for these cabins will be a circle - open in the middle, not the black dot.

Those sofas have back and seat which folds together, then flat. They are very comfortable.

Which ship are you looking at? No matter which it is, over 90% of the deluxe suites will hold 4.

We have traveled with adult DDs, and the deluxe suites can accomodate four people in the SA category. The PS can easily accomodate four people with the extra bathroom and more space. The Vista class PS even has doors that close off the bedroom allowing more privacy for the additional people on the murphy like bed that folds down from the cabinet.

We have only traveled once with another couple in the same suite - and both of us couples have said "Never again!" From our experience, there is just not enough privacy (especially in the bathroom area) for 2 couples.

We did manage to remain friends, but had the cruise been any longer than the 11-days it was, I don't know if that would've been true ( and we have all been friends for over 20 years!).

Her DH snores - my DH is up several times during the night so he likes to nap during the day & doesn't want folks coming and going in & out of the cabin; my dear friend takes forever to shower & do "her thing" - I take a lot of time with hair & make-up; none of us particularly cared for the very uncomfortable sofa-bed, so we tried swapping nights - that didn't work out too well either. Just a lot of little things that we found didn't work out well for any of us. We all decided we definitely preferred the privacy of our own cabin.

Today, we all laugh about it and now still travel together, but in separate cabins. That was our experience only, and others may do just fine, but suffice to say, there is much to discuss ahead of time if you choose to share a cabin or a suite with non-relatives!

Best of luck in whatever decision you make, and again, that was our experience only - not trying to tell anyone else what to do! :)
