DH & I just sailed our first cruise on the Conquest 10/24/10. We LOVED it!! We have alot of the same pics. I went around the ship and tried to get a pic of all the different lounges. Really enjoyed reading your review. We are hooked. Planning the next for OCT'11. Didnt get any food porn except for the WCMC. DH ate that every night. Our dinner was 655 in the Renoir. Really liked having the table for 2. Glad to read a review of such wonderful things said and great pics. HAPPY SAILING!!

Can't remember exactly what time, but I think about 3:15 we headed back to the ship to go rest for a little bit until it was time for the Valor to sail. The line for the Valor was very long, Conquest was still short, LOL!

A little after 4:00, the Valor set sail.

Glad you had a great time - love your review! Did you get a horn battle with Valor as she sailed away?

Outstanding review...very well structed and very informative. Your pictures are outstanding. Thank-you for sharing your cruise experience. I will be showing this to my family this evening as we sail on the Conquest in 12 days!

Conquest was our first cruise last week. You will not be disappointed. We are ready to go agaiin. The staff is amazing. We too ate in the Renoir Restaurant every night. We looked forward to the dancing during dinner. Have alot of pics on my Facebook but havent posted any on CC yet. Hope to see a review from you when you get back. Happy Sailing :)

Thanks Lambie!! I hope you guys get to dock by another ship for you & mom!! We enjoyed it! Oh, and guess what??? My mom & I may take a cruise on the Ecstasy next September! :) It is St. Jude's now & I sort of participated, LOL! We made the donation & received the shirt, but we did not go to dance for it. It was dancing at like 4:00 the last sea day I believe? In Henri's disco? I'd need to double check with my fun times to say for sure.

Excellent to know they still have some charity!!! And Tshirts and an event to go along!!!

Thank you!!!!

I hope you get to cruise on the Ecstasy!!!

We had Ramesh, Ida Ayu and Alix. They were wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for our first cruise. Taking the whole family next year. This is going to be my new addiction. Gonna work my way up to the 14 day round trip to Hawaii.

In the dining room, we were seated at a table for 2 as I stated before. There was a table for 4 right by us & a famiy with 2 children (Ages 13 & 11 I believe) sat there. They were so nice & we talked throughout the week with them. Well, they arrived a little late just like us as they too had enjoyed the sunset.

So we sit down & get started for another yummy dinner! Tonight, DH & I both had the chicken tenders with thai sauce for the appetizer & we both had the petite filet mignon w/braised short rib. So tender!!! I also had some of the fried shrimps. I could no way eat all of it, but I had some of each, LOL! Was hard to decide between the two, I had this happen a few times. LOL! Rough I know..... Hahaa. For dessert, DH of course had the WCMC, but he did try some of the apple pie & said it was very good also. I had 2 scoops of butter pecan ice cream. (My all time FAVE!)

Our waiter took an empty wine bottle with the cork in it & then ended up putting 4 forks together (2 & 2) with toothpicks & balance them on the toothpick he had stuck in the cork. Very cool!

Glad you had such a wonderful group of waiters too!! We couldn't have asked for anything more either! The Hawaii one would be wonderful! We won't be taking our kiddos until 2012, LOL. The next cruise is for our 15th Anniversary, plus it's during school.

After dinner, we stopped by the internet cafe real quick & by the cabin for DH to change back into shorts.

We went by the Loutrac Lounge for a minute & watched those learning to do a country western dance. Finally caught up & met the CD, Chris J. & per Lambie's request, he let me give him a kiss on the cheek. What a great sport, LOL!

We then went over to the Degas lounge for the 9:45 Comedy show with John Wesley Austin. It was a good show, but not as funny as the others IMO. After the show, we grabbed a slice of pizza & sat out on the balcony just taking in the wonderful night!!! Off to bed....Next.....Our las sea day.

OMGGGGosh your food pictures!!!! Literally just drooled on the keyboard a little bit, lol. :D

Also I'm so glad that you and Jeff like snorkeling, that's exactly what happened with D when he first went! He was like "Mmmm, not so sure about this!" and then suddenly he's in the water every time we're at the beach. It's SO fun!

Your review is (still) awesome!

Hi Meyer, Great review!! We are doing Western on the Glory in a little over a week so I'm loving the port pics. Question..is this shopping area right where you dock or did you have to take a taxi? It looks beautiful. Thanks!!

Love this review and your photos. Thanks for sharing.

Where is the store that gives beads w/ purchase?

Thanks

Thanks & You are welcome! For the beads, when you step into the store area right there at the port, you go to the 1st hallway there to the right, & it's the 1st store on the right.

Hahaa! Thanks! I'm not sure if the food pics were a good thing or not. LOL! I think sunset pictures are beautiful too & love looking at pictures of them too.

Saturday, Oct. 23rd, last sea day:

Sunrise

DSC_0834.jpg

We slept in some, so up around 8:30, dressed & headed to the Monet dining room for breakfast. Seated with 3 other couples, all great to talk with, we were the only virgin cruisers in this group, LOL. We each had the same thing as the day before. After enjoying our last breakfast in the dining room <sniff, sniff, LOL>, we headed to the Casino where Hubby was a big spender & we donated .50! Hahaa! We then went by the photo gallery to find our Cozumel debarkation picture which we purchased. A last stroll the shops & slowly made our way back to the cabin.

We entered & found our debarkation info & luggage tags on the bed. Zone 16. So hard to believe that we have to get off the ship the next day, darn it, LOL, but we both are ready to see our kids. We packed a little bit & then decided we were going to enjoy the beauty & peace of the sea. After a little bit, Hubby decided to take another nap in his favorite spot, on the balcony, I enjoyed just sitting there for about 45minutes & then went back inside to pack a little more.

After our late morning nap/rest, we headed up to lido deck for lunch. We went to the grill area & sat up in the fish & chips area again. We really liked having our lunch in this area when we didn't eat in the dining room. After lunch, we went to deck 3 & sat there at the lobby bar to enjoy a few drinks. :D Laurie & Kevin were out walking around & so they stopped by to visit with us for awhile.

We chose to just truly enjoy our last sea day. We didn't really do much of anything, which was completly fine with us, as we knew as soon as we had the kids back with us on Sunday, things would be busy again. LOL! So after a few drinks & visiting, we went back to the cabin where DH napped again on the balcony, I watched a little bit of a movie in the cabin & then packed another bag. Tried breaking that part up so I didn't have to do it all at once. ;)

We then dressed for dinner for our last night & went to the Degas Lounge at 5:00, meeting up with several from our CC roll call for the fun farewell party. We had a great time & was perfect for pre-dinner.
