Miss Dot...This may be a little off topic but I believe you are on our Dec. 27 sailing of the Enchantment and San Juan is not one of our ports. Maybe you're referring to another cruise that you may be taking.

We are on the Dec. 27th sailing......and San Juan in on Saturday.

Has something changed?

WOW...thanks for the update (I think) My husband hates San Juan I was looking forward to the trolley helping out and my Mother was wanting to go shopping at her favorite store!

We had to reschedule from the Jan. 17th trip and was going by the brochure (they never mentioned the stop was taken out of the 12/27th trip when I booked).

Wonder why San Juan was removed, maybe has something to do with New Years.

Oh well, thanks for the heads up...my son will not be excited to hear he has another sea day without a FlowRider....lol

I checked the itinerary that is on our ressie and San Juan is not listed. I know you originally were booked for Jan. which did include San Juan. I'm going to check around some more and I'll post over on our Meet and Mingle thread.

Radio,

Picked Pete up from his cruise on Explorer. He said they had a huge cake for the three of you for your birthdays. He had a great time and actually told us to turn around a few times on the way home. No way, we want to go too. Enjoy.

We booked this cruise in September, but I have been watching it all summer and San Juan was never listed as a POC on this sailing date. It is listed on the December 6th cruise and the January 17th cruises.

I think you are right about it being January 1 and the fact that many places will be closed.

Hi Radio!

I hope you found, and enjoyed your Starbucks coffee today in OSJ :)

Thanks for sharing the Enchantment with us - the pictures are wonderful. I hope the weather smartens up over the next few days, and the rest of your cruise is filled with lots of sunshine and calm seas!

Happy Sailing! :D

Awesome live report Radio! :D I always enjoy reading these when you do them.

Question for you please...what time are the shows at night? We're doing the 9 night Enchantment at Christmas (different itinerary though), so I'm wondering what time they are. Thanks. :)

Radio,

I always enjoy traveling with you. I love the Enchantment, it has a great feel when you are on board.

Can you please tell me which bars are smoking and non-smoking? I want to see if it has changed since a year ago.

Thanks,

I will provide a list before Saturday. . .

Hello everyone. . . I got off of the Ship around 2:30PM. There were a lot of passengers lined up to take excursions throughout San Juan, and it was a little hectic down at the pier.

I Made my way over to the Sheraton, to see what was new in the Hotel and Casino. The pool was closed, so I couldn’t stand out on the pool deck to take a few pics. I decided to make my way up to Fort San Cristobal. I was able to get on the Old San Juan Trolley (FREE). I was only about 8 blocks, but they were up some steep hills. . . I am glad I didn’t walk up !

The rain showers limited me with photos that were fit to print, but I was able to look around and enjoy some of the history about the site, and I was able to get a few pics.

I really like going to Fort San Cristobal. The Locals call it the “Cristobal Castle“, and I guess it really is. The Official Name from the National Park Service Is: Castillo San Cristobal / National Historic Site.

I came back, and had to stop at another national landmark. . . Starbucks. I was going to pick up some Starbucks San Juan Roast Coffee, but 16.99 /lb. . .No thanks, I’ll stick to the Pikes Place Roast It was only $2./cup It was very good. . . .

I decided to try my luck at the Bahia Casino at the Sheraton, but didn’t walk out of there a happy man. . . Casino Royale on Enchantment of the Seas is much better to me.

Tomorrow is St Thomas day, and we will arrive at 7AM. We leave St Thomas at 5PM.We are only about 30nm from St Thomas, so we will be going very slow to get there. . . Here is the forecast for St Thomas tomorrow :

Monday

Mostly cloudy with numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms. Breezy. Highs 85 lower elevations ranging to 79 higher elevations. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Oh well, we’ll have to see what happens. . . I was going to get a car rental, but I might stay near the shopping area.

We are the only ship schedule for St Thomas tomorrow, and after looking at the schedule I am glad we are there on Monday. Tuesday will have 4 ships, and Wednesday will have 5 ships !

Here are a few pics from today. . . Thanks for all of the nice comments. . .

Thanks Sherry. . . Sometimes the Shows are 7PM and 9PM, sometimes there is only 1 Show. . . It depends on the day.

I will post all of the Compass's when I return home.

Oh! Is tomorrow St Thomas? I have been researching both SXT and SXM all day today....I really wish I could understand the taxi price structure there! Im hoping to go to Saphhire...I mean how many times can one land at Megans bay? I did contact a group of folks we know on SXT to see if anyone wanted to drive us to and from, rather give them the $$$ than not have a good understanding of cost to the beach! [the taxi cost us $8pp just go to from charlottle amalie to havensight:eek: this past July]

Any suggestions?

Lovin' your pictures!

Wish I was there!!

Hi Radio

Really enjoying your live reports and all the pictures. We will be on the Enchantment Dec 6 and was wondering are the trollys handicap accessible? My husband uses a scooter and find it hard getting handicap transportation.

Thanks and keep the reports coming!!!!!!!!!!
