Not so "LIVE" Allure of the Seas Review with PIX!

Recommended Posts

Yes, we had toiletries. They included lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and.... um... a 4th bottle of something that I just cannot remember! We didn't use them, and I thought I'd bring them home for my girls to use (they get a kick out of the small bottles), but we left them there (no room in the suitcase!).

Thanks very much. Was the 4th bottle shower gel? That is what we had received in the past. Leaving on the 24th and am trying to start to get organized.

Up Next: BOARDING!

I've enjoyed many of your post and with a trip on Allure coming up, I've looked forward to your report. So far, I'm just starting this thread, but I love the pictures leading into port everglades. There is nothing like that excitement of embarkation day and finally seeing that ship from a distance after months of waiting. Looking forward to the rest.

Hi Michelle!

Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and such from the ship. They are amazing! Did you ever figure out if there was a Buy 1 Get 1 drink deal on the Allure? If so -- how does it work?

Thanks,

Mary

Thanks so much for taking the time to do the review! It's great so far!

Is there any fee for the video post card? We didn't notice that on the Oasis.

Love the "On Air" postcard! I'll have to remember that one.

No fees! It's FREE! :) You have the option to send it via Facebook or you can mail it to individuals. Also, you can send a "card" like we did, or you can send a video. There are several backgrounds to choose from too. Did I mention it's FREE?!!!

Maybe?! Probably?!

I'm enjoying your review and photos. I know that it's a lot of work so thanks for taking the time to share. I can't wait to get back on board in three months.:)

It is, but it's fun. :) I love doing it! I know you'll have a great cruise too! We're going back, with kids, in February... already counting down the days. LOL

Hi, Mary. There was nothing advertised; however, I didn't go to the port shopping show - it could've been there since others have said that's where they found it. I considered going, but I just couldn't listen to Shopping Shelby. As cute as she was, she drove me crazy. ;)

It looks yummy!

Indeed it was! As were all of them, as indicated by the five pounds stuck on my rump that I brought back with me!

Final Thoughts... for Day 1, that is. ;)

The excitement and anticipation of getting to Allure was just overwhelming. She did not disappoint. The WOW, awe, amazement, wonderment... all the great adjectives... there just aren't words to fully describe the Allure. No, she isn't perfect, but she is in a league of her own. She really is a beautiful ship full of so many things to do. I have so many pictures I can't wait to share with you, but they will not do the Allure justice - you have to experience her for yourself.

I didn't mention the Muster Drill, but there's really not much to mention. It is so easy now - no lifejackets, as most of you know, and a short video in English provide all the instruction in a short clip. Other languages are available in the stateroom for your viewing enjoyment.

Our weather was great - warm and sunny! In fact, the entire week was just beautiful!

We did manage to tour almost the entire ship on our first day, so I will finish Day 1 with several pictures. Enjoy!!!

More photos from our self-guided tour.

Touring the Sports Zone

Wipeout Cafe - free food including hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, small sandwiches, lemonade, flavored water, soft-serve ice cream

Ping Pong/Table Tennis - there are two areas, one of each side of the ship. They seemed to stay busy.

Basketball Court - This place was hopping! From basketball to soccer to dodgeball to whatever - this place was utilized by kids and adults. It was great to see grown men act like little boys. :) Just a fun time!

Flowrider Sign - I don't think I have a picture of the actual Flowrider, but it was used quite a bit during the week. I didn't try it, but had fun watching those who did. I overheard several stories of tops flying off... makes me wonder if it's done on purpose??? hehe

It looks yummy!

Oops! Sorry, I missed your question, Bonnie. That was a pina colada, with a "little" bit of dark rum. Um, I told him I wanted to taste it, and I surely did! Felt it too! LOL

Okay, so you've got to tell us, just where was the picture of the lady on the door taken?

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the review, thanks for taking the time!

That lady has a man counterpart too! :D I'll dig through my photos and post him later. You can both of them on all (?) the restrooms on the pool deck. I saw at least 2 matching pairs.

A few more pictures from our first day's tour...

I fell in love with the gowns AND Central Park!

200130_10150219002981164_502681163_9144684_5326062_n.jpg

The Rising Tide Bar's "Home Base" - the water "show" was a nice touch when the bar was making its way to Central Park and back. We found the bar to be a novelty - just one more thing to do on Allure, but we did it to say we did it. 200104_10150219003166164_502681163_9144687_752167_n.jpg

Cafe Promenade - Home of the great little sandwiches, cookies and sweets.

The Cupcake Cupboard - What a darling little place this is! Just adorable!

190175_10150219003351164_502681163_9144689_1656431_n.jpg

Cupcake Decorating Class Info - I signed up for this class... unfortunately, they called me on the first night and said I was signed up for the children's class. Um, that's not what my reservation says. I had the choice to reschedule for 1:30 or 3, but those are my "pool hours" so I cancelled.

Look what I could've made. There's always next year!

Hi neighbor a few cabins away!!!

We are gold too and had robes in our cabins. I agree, it is a wonderful location to stay. So close to Central Park, which we enjoyed immensely. Did you watch the light show at night with those bubble things up overhead?

Enjoying your report and pics!!!
