I called CAS last week ....Very excited about this offer. Now I don't have to wait and see if I get an offer from AC. Was told have 18 months to use. I wonder if I had not called would they have called me?

They do not call. At least based on my experience and I play at the Golden Level. Never got a call.

Just booked my first comped cruise to Bermuda in May 2015! We had a choice of any cruise ncl went except pride of America because they don't have a casino! We got a balcony comped the total including insurance was $801. For 2 Bermuda port charge is higher. If I booked it myself the same would have been $2800. So I save 2k yahoo! I have any more offers too! So many cruises so little time!

Just a couple of questions if someone would answer for me.

Do you go to the dinners or spas or whatever and then see if they will take it off your bill or something off? Or will they come up to you in casino or send letter to your stateroom.

Has anyone receive cash or onboard credits with your comp cruise?

Thank you

This type of comp is based upon your play during the cruise, and the number of points you amass while onboard. The casino staff will not approach you, as these comps come in the form of credits to your onboard account. Generally the last night of the cruise the casino staff run their analysis, and then process the comps (although it is sometimes reported that this step is done the second-to-last night on some sailings/ships). The minimum number of points needed in order to qualify for comps is 2,500 points, and at that level the comps will be very small and certainly will not cover a spa treatment. The more points amassed, the higher the dollar figure that will be removed from your final bill.

I hope that helps.

Was just on Breakaway. On the last day of the cruise I stopped by the players Club desk and ask them to review my account and they took $250 off my final bill. That was in addition to the free cabin I received.

Plus I called last week to book another cruise. They offered a free oceanview cabin on a 7 day cruise or a free inside cabin on a 14 day European which I'm going for.

I was on the breakaway in March and a casino host did approach a woman next to me and asked if he could make reservation for her at cagneys and what else he could do for her so yes if your playing enough they will approach you.

I spent a lot of time in the casino never got approached but have booked another cruise for this November and am comped a balcony cabin and will receive $150 free play and drink cards for the casino.

another question:

Once on a cruise you go and buy voucher for the next time cruise. Can you use that as payment for your free cruise if you have one?

And if you have a free cruise can you book it while you are on a cruise or is it better to call?

Yes, you can put down the $250 deposit while you're on the free cruise and use that for the taxes or upgrade fees on your next free cruise. Just did it

You can not book your next cruise while onboard unless you were to call CAS back in Miami or log into the internet.

As to getting meals, spa etc. Yes, they will do this sometimes DURING the cruise, and for some folks, cover them on the last day using your points.

How much do you have to spend? Hard to say, but put some common logic to it. If you were to drop $100 in the casino, they will not and can not comp a $150 spa treatment. In fact, they could not comp dinner at Cagneys.

Hard to give an exact number, but most folks can figure it out - than those that spend $100 or less and have not thought through it.

We sailed 2 weeks ago and went through CAS line. Walked right up. Make sure you look for the CAS line because the first person we saw asked us what floor we were on a sent us a different direction. I then asked where the CAS line was and then was directed the right way. We were the only one in the line.

Geri,

Do you know if I can upgrade my card for CAS I just got a card last cruise but it is the entry level one, I'm sure with $$$$$ I dropped in the casino I should be at higher level. Is there I place where I can find or get a new card before the cruise? I'm on the roll call just signed up for. M&G

Was anyone able to buy the slot coupon. Pay 25 for 50 dollars pay? I tried and it's no longer available ?

They discontinued it sometime last year, the same time NCL discontinued theirs.

You can call CAS and ask what your points and level is but you can't get a new card until you are on board. If u booked through Cas your players card and drink card will be in your cabin.

Does every port have a CAS line? We will be sailing out of the TX Bayport terminal. It would sure help my husband's back if he didn't have to wait in a long line. Sounds as if CAS line with me would be a short wait.

So I hope Bayport has a CAS line.

Geri,

Yes I did book through my CAS lady. That's good to know it will be in my cabin. She had said I could book any cruise with balcony that NCL goes except pride of America because they have no casino .

I'm interested in knowing that too, and whether they've ever offered that to you before. I'm VIP and while they have offered room comps pretty reliably, I have never gotten casino play before. Anyone else gotten it?

Does anyone know if you can use the CAS line to board if you didn't get a free stateroom through them and just reserved a cabin at 20% off?

yes.

did that on the Gem to the Carribean.

the regular embarkation lines for the Gem weren't that bad tho.

embarkation for the Breakaway was a mad house. double # of passengers all going thru the same sized nyc port terminal.

thank god for Cas check in.

a million people in the regular embarkation line, only 3 in the Cas line :)

Geri ,

How did you get the $150 casino play? I have never heard of that on NCL before.

Rochelle

It was a post card offer I received in snail mail. I had already booked a cruise for, last November was comped an oceanview but upgraded to balcony. Then I got the postcard saying free balcony and $150 free play so I called and they said I could use the offer for the cruise i was already booked on. Saved me money by having a comp balcony so I was happy.

Since none of the five posts after mine answered my question, I am asking it again:

Does the Bayport terminal have a CAS line for check-in?
