For those of you who were anxiously awaiting some pictures,

is a little video clip, was on the news tonight, as there was a bit of a first ship of the year ceremony on board today, should have been done 2 weeks ago but was today instead, with the TV stations and authorities, ect. you can see some of the mix, lido, theatre, aft pool.

just let the commercial 30 seconds play of a guy texting when driving and then its a video clip of the MAASDAM today.

hope some of you enjoy it.

Thanks very much - nice to get a bit of a peek:D

Holland America's website states that the Maasdam will not be able to make into Montreal for the May 21st departure. Passengers will be bussed from the cruise terminal to Quebec City.

Wondering where on the website you see this information? I can't find it. Thanks.

Maasdam Itinerary Revised

The following itinerary revision has been made for the ms Maasdam May 14 and May 21 Canada/New England cruise.

Due to unusually high water levels in the St. Lawrence River following recent heavy rains, the Maasdam is not able to safely sail into and out of the port of Montréal this weekend. The very high water level significantly reduces the clearance under bridges and power lines. As a result, the ship will now go to nearby Québec City instead of Montréal. Guests disembarking from the May 14 cruise and those embarking on the May 21 sailing will be transported by motorcoach between the two cities.

Disembarking guests who purchased a transfer from Holland America Line will be taken to the Montréal airport. All others will transfer to the cruise terminal in Montréal. Guests embarking on the May 21 cruise will be met at the cruise terminal in Montréal for transfer to Québec. The trip will take about three hours.

For the upcoming cruise, ms Maasdam will now overnight in Québec City on May 21 and depart as scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22. The remainder of the itinerary will not change.

I don't see any place where it says travel advisories on the HAl web site. Can you point me to it?

Hi, we are also PAX on this weeks Maasdam cruise out of supposed Montreal. Unfortunately we never got an e-mail or phone call from HAL about the change. We are in Montreal right now and walked to the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel and spoke with HAL rep. They have a bus leaving 11:15 but it is full. We have to go to the pier, the last bus to Quebec City will leave the pier at 3PM. HAL is overwhelmed with this task although the should have practice from two weeks ago!
