Well may have some good news. Reading John Healds blog, after all the commotion, we pin collectors raised about doing away with the pins, Carnival has somewhat recanted. They still are NOT going to give them away to past cruisers (cost containment is what they site), but will have ALL the ships pins for sale in the gift shop. So if you are missing any, your next cruise you should be able to get not only the ship you are on, but any of the ones you are missing or would like to have. He did not say how fast they will have them on all ships but should start appearing soon.

Our first cruise was on the Fascination...I would love to have this pin to add to my collection...I have an extra Celebration, Fantasy and Triump pin to trade..

It's silly the things that make us happy:)

Cindy...

It's Bette Jost. I'm setting up my Distribution List for everyone who was on our Triumph cruise. Several people said they wanted to know about any other cruises we might plan. Would you like to be included? If so... send me your email address. My address is bjost@talx.com

That was a great cruise... huh?

Nice hat. I put mine on a baseball type hat.

FYI: Some people have lost their pins as they fell

off. One way to solve this is to super glue

the pin back on. Another thing, I would not

wear the hat off the ship while at port as

it may get stolen. I am real careful where

I wear mine as I have some very rare pins on it.

Thanks, JR ~~!!~~ In more ways than one.... You were very instrumental in helping me get started.... I know what you mean by Rare = Expensive !!

I only wear it on Carnival cruises, I have a big white hat I wear on shore... I really never counted how many until a lady asked me on the plane flying home from Barcelona the first of the month how many I had, and I was surprised the total came to 92. Those are mostly ports of call, however.

I also collect the ports of call pins. I display them on a pinboard

I made and have it hanging in my home office. It's nice to look

at it and remember all the places I have been.

I took a picture frame, glued some felt to cardboard and put it

in the frame. Whenever I get a new pin, I just add to the

collection.

thanks for showing me what the gold ship pins look like. I would have bought these if I had too, but I am glad Carnival is listening to us and putting the funnel pins in the gift shops! YAY!

The older, retired, or dated pins usually/or have sold for $ 50.00 to the highest I remember, over $ 125.00. The larger, newer ship only fetch a couple of dollars to around $ 10.00 each....
