comfort suites, paradise island

We're thinking about booking a day room, Aug 22nd, 2 adults so we can get the day pass to Atlantis. Should we book in advance or go to the Comfort Suites when we arrive in port that morning? If you've done this lately, what was the total charge for the room including fees/taxes and did the pass in addition to the waterpark and beach get you access to the digs in Atlantis? Any info is appreciated.

The room rate is based on the date that you want to go.. just like booking any other hotel room. It should also be done in advance. Go to their website and check the rate for your date. There are taxes, surcharges and fees listed as well, that are not included in your room rate.

For 2 ppl, it's usually not worth it. Full access passes are $120pp. I doubt you'll get a room for less than $240, but you can try.

Guests of Comfort suite get full access passes to the waterpark, beaches and DIGS.

The base room rate is for 2 ppl only .. you'd pay add'l per person fees for any add'l person's up to max of 4.

We will be in Nassau on CCL Miracle at the end of August. CCL wants $175 pp x 3 people when we go. Comfort Suites would cost us $166 for a room - comes to $231 with all taxes and fees. Add on about $25 each way for a taxi, and we are still ahead!

LindaJean, we are going on August 22nd as well and we booked a room through Comfort Suites. We used the AAA discount and after taxes we got the room for $222.37 including taxes. After the additional charges for housekeeping and energy surcharge it will come out to about the same as a day pass anyway.

When we've been to Atlantis in the past they issued you an armband for entrance into waterpark -- does Comfort Inn give you an armband?

Has anyone had any bad experiences using Comfort Inn vs. going through the ship or Atlantis??

Thanks!

Comfort suites has an arrangement with Atlantis, there is never a problem with getting passes if you are a paid guest at the hotel.

You will be given a card at the CS front desk to take over to Atlantis. There's an area in the lower level that is set up to "process" CS guest. They will give a wristband to each registered guest.

You must ALL show up at the hotel and the check in desk to get your wristband. If you have children that may be taken for older or younger.. please bring ID so that you are sure to pay the correct rate.

I just talked to someone who had to pay an adult fee because her son looked older and she didn't have any id for him.

We are going on the Oasis Aug. 13 and arrive in Nassau early on the 14th... is any time 'too early' to check into the Comfort Suites? I know we only have a few hours in port and as I am traveling with my 3 sons (11, 13 & 15), they want to get to Atlantis asap! Thank you.

AND -- if we are pulling into port on the morning of the 14th, I guess when i book the room it should be for the night of the 13th??? so I would check in and out at the same time??

Book the day you arrive, otherwise, you'd be considered a no-show and cancelled.

You can check in anytime, but the waterpark doesn't open until 10am.

Each room allows only 4 guests, so if you are 2 adults and 3 kids, you would need with 2 rooms or 1 room and you'd purchase an extra day pass ($120 for adults / $80 for kids).

We've done it twice through CS. You have to book for the day you're arriving and yes, you check in and check out at the same time. They give you a card and you take it to a towel hut and they give you the wristbands. If someone stops you on the way to the waterpark you just show them the card you have from CS. Right, the water park doesn't open till 10AM which is why it might not be worth it if your stop is only for a 1/2 day.

You now take your CS card to a table in the lower level of the Towers to get your bracelets.. you will be directed there.. not the towel hut.

I have a question on this as well and any help would be really appreciated. We are traveling with a large group so booking though Comfort Suites will save us a lot of money for Atlantis even with multiple rooms. My question is though - Our ship arrives in port at 7am - does anyone know the earliest time that we can go to the hotel to get our pass to Atlantis?

Scubagirrl,

Question about where to get the bracelets after checking in at CS? Lower level of towers- is that the main bldg past the casino, main lobby, down the steps near the dig? I am going next month as well via the CS. What is the child's age limit before you have to pay adult rate?

I have another question. our ship will be in Nassau for 2 days - arrives at 11:30am on October 24 and departs at 10pm on October 25. If I book a room at the CS for the night of the 24th, can I use the passes for both days? Or should I book the room the night of the 25th and just use the passes on the day of the 25th? TIA!

How far is it to walk from the Comfort suites to the water slides and pools? I just did all the pricing. Comfort suites with all the little crazy charges for three adults is 361.40 or we can pay 360. for day passes but I need to know how long the walk is.

I went last year and booked through the Comfort Suites. I thought it was quite a hike. Scubagirl said I must have been lost but I kept asking directions along the way and went where I was told. There was no signage on where to go. I would just go through Atlantis since your not saving much money but then there is no guarantee you can get the day pass through Atlantis until you show up.

If you go out the back entrance of CS, it leads directly to the main driveway of Atlantis. We walked up the drive (sometimes thru the marina "village" if we wanted a view of the yachts) and into the main building. Went right out the door and down to the towel hut. It was a quick walk - 5-10 minutes. But we walk quickly. I don't know where the wristband location is - last time we went they were given out at the towel hut, but that seems to have changed, from what was recently written above.

We have reserved the room at CS so we can go to Atlantis water park so my question is does Atlantis supply you with towels to dry off since we are not actually a guest of theirs or do we need to bring the one off the ship?

Also I have read somewhere on here that some of the taxi drivers will wait on you to check in at CS and then drive you over to Atlantis. If I want them to do that should I tell them I will them a little extra if they will wait or should I just walk over and hope I find the correct area. I have been to the aquarium before and I can see how people could get a little confused finding the right door to go in and check in to get armband.

Any help on this would be greatly appreiciated! THANKS:o

I have a couple of questions if anyone has the answer :)

(1) what is the best way to get from the ship to CS, from CS to atlantis waterpark, and then back to the ship?

(2) how much time does it take to get from the ship to actually enjoying the waterpark when you go the CS route for admission?

ALSO...any tips would be greatly appreciated. We are only in port for 1/2 day, but this is the activity my family REALLY wants to do.

  • 2 weeks later...

Scubagirl,

What time does the water park close? We will be coming off the Carnival Fascination which docks at noon on August 1st. I imagine we won't get off the ship and over to the CS and on to Atlantis until maybe 1:30 - 2:00. If the park closes at say 5p or something like that it probably won't be worth it. There will be 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Thanks for your help.:D
