Okay, so after dinner, we went back by the cabin & found our 1st night towel animal, Fun Times & mints.

We stepped out onto the balcony and it was raining lightly, then we headed out to walk around the ship some more before the show.

We then went to the 8:45 Welcome Aboard Show in the Blue Sapphire Lounge. We loved the show! After the show was over, we started walking the Promenade deck & ended up aft at the the Starlite Lounge & walked Karaoke (sp?) for about 30 min. There were some really great singers & we enjoyed up really enjoying our time there. While there, I had a Kiss on the Lips drink & mom had a Cosmo. Sorry, I didn't have my camera with me. LOL. Then we were back at the cabin & went to bed a little after midnight.

Sunday, Sept. 4th, Sea Day

We woke up around 7:30 a.m., Here's our view for the morning. <Sorry for a little bit of the blur, but my lens kept fogging up>

We then headed out to breakfast in the Wind Star dining room about 8:00. Sorry, no food pictures for breakfast, for some reason, I never took the camera with me to breakfast.

Mom had an omelet with ham, bacon, rye bread & a danish. I had the french toast (my fave), bacon, hasbrowns & a danish.

After breakfast, we went to the internet cafe. I posted on a thread under the Currently Onboard section of Carnival.com. It's free & that's how I posted back & forth with hubby & the kids & my mom with my dad. Internet Cafe was right down the hall from our cabin which was nice. We were having a cabin crawl this day with our CC roll call group, so mom & I went back to the cabin to put together the goodie bags we were giving out. Once done, we left so Ed Mark could come & clean the cabin up.

We decided to just explore the ship, the stores, we ended up purchasing one of the $10 shawls.

Enjoying your review and pictures and cant wait for our turn on the Ecstasy. Where are good places to do informal meet & mingles? We dont have a real active roll call but thought about after muster drill at Seaview Bar & Grill on deck 10 aft. Is that a good location? Also looking for a place for 1st sea day around 11, or is 2 better? I've got to wear my fancy beads. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks. You will really enjoy the Ecstasy. Yes, our group met at/after sail away at the Seaview Bar & Grill, although, mom & I didn't make that one. The Piano Bar (Neon Bar) is a good spot too, we met there also. It's Deck 8, atrium area.

we had the same cabin last November. I liked that the balcony had a little extra space since it was on the end AND an extra chair!

Thanks for sharing!

Your welcome. Did you post pictures of the cabin back then in a review? Was thinking I saw it in someone's review. I know Lambie took pictures of the cabin for me back in Feb. right before Debarkation. ;) And yes, we liked the little extra space with the balcony too.

After purchasing the shawls in the $10 store, we just sat there along one of the windows on the Promenade deck & people watched & talked for about 20 minutes. We then headed up to our cabin about 11:00 so we could get everything put out for our CC roll call cabin crawl. (Thanks to Jena for setting it all up!!!!)

Here's how we set it up & 'decorated' the cabin. Sorry for the one darker picture.

Once it was set & we enjoyed a few minutes out on the balcony just watching the water. So pretty. :) We headed by the MDR to see the menu for the night & since it was about 11:40 & not open for lunch yet, we went to the photo gallery to pick up our portraits. (We had some duplicates made.) Got to the MDR right at 12 & was seated for lunch.

Mom had the French Baguette with crab & shrimp salad, cucumbers & tomatoes & Creme Bruelee for dessert.

I had the build your own burger with guacamole (Yum), and orange sherbert for dessert.

For the starter, we both tried the avocado soup which was really good. Once stuffed, LOL, we headed back to the cabin & grabbed the camera to meet with the others for our cabin crawl.

About 3:40 we were called to go to our muster stations. Sorry, I didn't take the camera with me for this part. We were in B, which was on Promenade in the sitting area across from the Casino. It went just fine.

Here's my only complaint really for the entire cruise. The Ecstasy had arrived late that morning because of TS Lee. No big deal, we figured we would leave a little late, but had not been told that for sure & the Safety Briefing/Muster Drill was done at the normal time. At the end of the briefing with the announcements, we were then told we would be sailing an hour to an hour & half late. Still not really a big deal, but my hubby & kids along with my dad had come to the 'patio' area there by the Harbor House to watch us for leave for sail away & they were all there & ready by 4. More specifics about sail away shortly in the review, but we didn't end up sailing until 6, but they did hang around. Kids were hungry & ready to leave by then for sure. LOL!

After that was completed, we headed back to the cabin so we could let the guys know what was going on & we watched for a little while as the ship was being loaded. Then we took off & went to the Casino to get our S&S cards punched so we could put them on our lanyards. Still only about 5:00 at this point, so we went by the photo gallery & found our embarkation photo & our Funship Freddy picture. We purchased 2 of the Funship Freddy stuffed toys for my younger 2 kids & got the Freddy pictures (we had a 2nd print made). The toys/dolls ended up being free & we also purchased our embarkation photo. Back to the cabin to wait for sail away.

About 5:50, they all the sudden quickly stopped loading & the crew pulled in the crew gangway & let the ropes go, all within a few quick minutes. So, here we go.....

Look at all the trash.

And we haven't seen the tug boat help out before, but it did help for today's sail away. I believe it helped the Ecstasy come in that morning too.

How did you get the fun ship freddy for free?

Hello Meyer2

Nice to see you are doing your review. Nice photos.

Great pictures and review, Meyer2! :D

Thanks Gary! :D

Any chance anyone here has images of Carnival Ecstasy's final departure from Galveston on the 8th?

I don't, but I know someone from our roll call does, I'll try to see if he will maybe post a few here or let me snag them from him. :)

So sorry for the multiple post, page kept having an error and I had to keep trying to send. I refreshed closed it out and came back and nothing was there, I come back today and BAM... 5 kazillion!! lol

LOL, no problem, I figured something went wonky.
