Best Piano Entertainer on Carnival? (Part 2)

I feel sorry for the people on the Imagination who are getting Martin Aucoin. Just off the Freedom and he was awful. He has a limited range and was not entertaining. The guy does not know how to work a crowd, and the second time I wandered in into the bar (thinking that the first bad experience was just an aberation), he was obviously drunk and still doing shots of tequilla. Carnival needs to find a replacement ASAP.

 

IT is a shame when there are entertainers like Michael Smith available that are WONDERFUL!!!

I can't speak for Tom, but Marty is beyond FUN! If you're just looking for a traditional piano bar, he won't be it. But if you're looking for a crazy fun time, go with Marty! He is fantastic! We were in the PB every nite with him on the Freedom last year:D

Two words..... Seth Gibson!! Those of you who are lucky enough to be sailing on the Valor in the next few months have a real treat in store! We just got back and can gladly report that you will have a great time. He plays all the piano bar classics that you would expect and maybe some things that you wouldn't... but only after 11:30 ;-) We were there every night.

He's amazing! Short Seth Gibson story: The stars were in align for us Thanksgiving weekend. Seth's hometown is Columbus, Ohio. We are from SoCal, but our daughter is a PhD student at Ohio State and we went to visit her for the holiday. Lucky for us, Seth was home for the holiday weekend and, for one night only, he had a gig in a small local bar. So it was a special treat to see him perform off the ship. He is so talented!

I got off the Liberty this weekend and had a great time with Ben. I agree with the other 2 reviews on here. He is a ton of fun, a great player and entertainer. He is an ok singer. He is very young, and skews towards more recent songs rather than the classics.

 

I think he played a couple songs early that should have been left for later in the evening, or at least let the crowd pick up the song instead of belting out certain words over the mic.

 

If he sticks with it, I think he could become one of the favorites. I haven't been spending much time lately in the Piano bars, but I was just having so much fun that even if I didn't like the songs, I wanted to stay.

Does anyone know who is on the Elation right now?

Beau Tahana had to leave due to the loss of a family member.

 

Michael Geier, a newbie who just got off a short stint on the Triumph.

We were on the Conquest last week and really enjoyed Michael Dardis in the Piano Bar, this is his first contract with Carnival so he is still a newbe. He is great on on the piano, a really good singer and if he dosen't know a song that someone requests he will learn it. He hardly ever takes a break, Wednesday is his night off because there is a deck party that they want people to go to. I will try to attach a photo.

Dave on The Dream was a little mean to us. Did not like his personality even though he is very talented. Just a little mean. It is something I probably will never forget, which is kind of a bummer because my cruise was really so great. It is funny how a silly comment at the wrong time can really shake you. Nobody likes that. Total bummer.
