As Joanne posted Russell Villarin, "fresh" off his second stranded at sea engagement, is heading to the Sensation next week. If he waits until it home ports it will be 2/21 that he boards. So that will be my assumption.

When might we know who will be on the Breeze in August??

 

Absolutely LOVED Ron and Sylivia when we cruised the Breeze week before last and just yesterday we just booked our "Breeze...again" cruise for August 11. ;)

Of course there will be someone on the Freedom during those dates. We just don't know who yet. The list isn't an exact science nor is it an official Carnival thing. The information is posted as it comes in.

Still to this day my first piano bar player was the best i have ever had....his name was Dwayne...an older guy from Ontario. Since then and 4 cruises later i've yet to find one as entertaining as that first cruise!

 

Unfortunately... i was just on the Glory, and although the cruise was AMAZING...the piano bar had Tom Riccio there...this is the second time i've had that guy as the PB entertainer....and let me tell you HE SUCKS!!! that guy should quit his job and go home. I'm pretty sure on this past cruise i was on that his piano was covered more than he played it. Awful, worst entertainer ever. Guy said he didn't know Sweet Caroline...i mean really. I cannot believe that Carnival has this guy entertaining people. He must come cheap, because he SUCKS!!!! How unfortunate to go on a cruise, loving the piano bar, and only spend about 10 mins in it listening to that crap!

 

Sorry, small rant, had to get it out there!

 

And i feel better now....like i said we loved our cruise, best one yet...

Hopefully the Sunshine has a good PB entertainer...we just booked for Jan 12th

I agree. He was on the Glory last July on our cruise to Canada. We noticed hardly anyone in there. It isn't exactly enticing to join in with an empty piano bar. We did sit down for a minute or two once and it was so boring, we quickly left.

Duane Lewis was your first one. He is no longer with Carnival unfortunately, he reached that magic age.

 

Tom Riccio is unfortunately taking quite a few hits theses days. He used to get some decent reviews. But I'll add your review to the pile. The office is quite aware of the feelings of those who have cruised with him recently.

Dana was not my favorite.... his voice register is too high, so mostly Elton John. Same songs 2 nights... he did have a cool app on his tablet that had the words and a companion app on his phone with background music. Mostly people just talked over his singing - rarely did everyone participate - he was just playing and singing.

Yes it was Duane Lewis! He was absolutely fantastic...such a good entertainer.

 

I go on at least one cruise a year, unfortunately I haven't even come close to enjoying the piano bar as much as i did on that first one...

 

Hopefully Carnival up's their standards in the piano bar going forward. Understandably its a very hard position to fill, but common, Carnival's batting average is pretty awful in my opinion, in this department.
