Globetrekkie,

You look terrific! And may I say I love the color and cut of your hair. May try to mimic that in my next cut.

I particularly like your last formal night dress. Wow! And you look totally confident in it which makes it even more attractive!

Hope you enjoyed your cruise.

Good morning ladies,

While in Las Vegas for the Holiday I bought these gowns. I have a red one similar to this. I love the style so I bought this black one.

Porthopper--As usual you have selected gorgeous dresses. I love the black one; but the green one is nice too.

Globetrekkie--You look great in all of your dresses. And they are all very pretty. I love the style of the short green dress. I had tried on a similar dress but couldn't find a good fit. Either too big in the bust or too tight around the belly. I was bummed. Glad you had a great fashion cruise.

I am so sorry but I laughed out loud at this, you have started my day with a big smile. :)

Marie, your new dresses are simply gorgeous and globetrekkie thanks so much for posting. You look lovely and, as been said, so confident which gives an extra wow to any outfit.

You look great in all the dresses! I really liked the purple one but they are all fabulous!

And the last one, the 2d formal night dress : this one was brought in France on the last day before out departure

Looking forward to seeing all new dresses from all of you

Hello Ladies,

as promised, I'm posting all the dresses I wore during my Thanksgiving cruise one the Allure.

We almost did not make it as our flight from Paris was cancelled and rescheduled the next day. Thankfully, we had flown one day ahead just to be sure.

The bad news is we had planned for an entire day of shopping at Sawgrass Mills, so we had to say bye bye to this... But I did not give up entirely, and after our long transatlantic flight on saturday, we arrived at Sawgrass at 7PM, this left us 2.5 hours to shop, even though we were really tired.

I scanned all the shops that I prefer, and ended up buying 4 cocktail dresses, one evening bag, 2 sweaters for my husband, some lingerie at Calvin Klein that someone from home wanted me to buy.

So I was frustrated by the lack of time, but I'm still happy that I made the most of it.

Now I'm posting the pictures !!

The dress I wore for embarkation day, bought at Nautica, perfectly themed for the occasion I thought.

The dress for the first night of the cruise, bought at Sawgrass

The dress I wore for the first formal night, this one I ordered on the internet

The third night dress, bought at Sawgrass Mills (Neiman Marcus last call, this is a Kay Unger, and I like this blue)

The fourth night dress, this one is a dress I bought a long time ago but that I was not able to wear because of my weight gain, so I was so happy to be able to wear it now

Here is my fifth dress, bought at Sawgrass, I wanted to have dresses of different colors and style.

The next dress to be followed in the next post...

Lovely!

I have decided instead of skinnies my casino attire will be this:

I have about 15+ of these and I can be comfortable in the casino with the mini and leggings. If I bring the skirts I can wear them during the day, negating the need for day dress, evening dress and jeans for the casino

Skirt, leggings, cami, cardi

This Christmas will be our first AZ cruise. We like to dress up on X and RC on special evenings.

I know AZ is smart casual and I'm aware of what that means of course, but I couldn't pass up a very pretty lacy knee length cocktail dress.

Would that be out of place at Christmas eve dinner? Too dressy?

Or should I just stick with a sparkly top?

I'm the shy type and don't want to stand out in the wrong way.:o

I've attached a photo from google.

On my recent Azamara cruise (my first on Az) there were quite a number of folks dressed up in cocktail-type attire each evening. Because of the "smart casual" dress code there was of course a wide variety of levels of dressiness...but I think you would not be at all out of place.

And the dress is gorgeous! :)
