Ladies (and men I guess) fair warning

Reminds me of a funny story.. a few years ago the first night of our cruise I ran quick to my cabin to change before dinner. My own fault, I forgot to latch the door... the cabin steward walked in on me... he was SO embarassed!! However, we had excellent service all week long and so my DH teases me now to let it happen again because he thinks the guy was either really embarassed and tried so hard to make it up to me OR that he took extra special care of us because of the little "show" I gave him on the first night.. in any event, I laughed about it from the time it happened...

Always say it was the second choice:D

You should have yelled at her, "Don't worry, we're all gay. It doesn't matter!"

Too funny!

At least as they say in the South she wasn't "Nekkid". That means you are naked AND doing a little something. tee hee!

Reminds me of a funny story too.

My daughter works in the fashion industry. Part of her job takes her to a lot of runway shows. Backstage where the mosels are getting ready (unfortunately I am only told this , no personal knowledge :() Some of the most beautiful women in the world are running around naked getting their hair and makeup done and getting into their next outfit to model. Many times these hair, make up and dressers are men.

My mom , in her 80s and has been around too long to "BS" says "These girls walk around naked in front of these guys ?"

My daughter said "Gram they are professionals , plus I know all those guys and they are gay"

My mom said "They are gay professionals but they aren't eunichs , they should cover up."

OY my mother :)

Modesty does not exist backstage !! Their objective is to change costumes and get back onstage without delaying the show. They don't take time to look !!

If you take the "behind the scenes" tour on NCL ships and are lucky enough to get one of the stage managers to show you the backstage area, they will explain exactly what happens.

One night on one of our cruises, we were asleep in bed at about 2 am. I woke up startled, couldn't figure out why, until I looked toward the cabin door - it was open and there was a twenty-something man standing in the doorway just staring into our room!! I yelled and he ran off, after which of course I jumped out of bed and slammed the door and latched it. My husband had come in several hours after I had gone to bed and, as is his habit (which happens all the time at home and we live where it's cold), just pushed at the door without looking behind him as he came through and it didn't latch. Gave me the total creeps, and I was so sleepy that his face didn't register enough for me to recognize him for the rest of the cruise. I kept staring at all twenty-something males for the rest of the cruise and, as I am fifty-something, I'm sure they thought I was leering!

LOL well at that time in the morning, I would assume this young man wasn't completely sober. All the doors look the same and if he put the room key in the slot and the door opened, he was probably wondering why someone else was sleeping in HIS bed. :D

OMG, if I had been that lady I would have died! Those doors usually latch so securely. I hope you didn't see the poor lady later on the cruise.

Our door on the Spirit sure didn't latch well.

On the Spirit, our door had to be slammed a bit to make it latch. So I can definitely see this happening.

Dave

I agree. We had to slam ours too (or pull hard on it) in order to make sure that it was shut all the way.

We had a room steward walk in once when we were in there (but I was just grabbing a few things and headed out)...but still. It could happen to anyone.

hehe, thanks for sharing.

We got up to go to breakfast one morning on the Spirit a week or so ago and our door hadn't latched. We just looked at each other. Had the ship been rocking that night someone might have gotten a eyeful of us.

A female cabin steward walked in on my husband once on the Celebrity Xpedition. Wasn't her fault, we weren't supposed to be on the ship, we had decided to skip a tour. He grabbed a shoe of all things to cover up !!!

I wanted to post something that happened to me on our recent cruise on the Spirit. It was funny, but at the same time I felt so bad for the lady.

I was walking back to our cabin and the seas were really rocking. I came upon a guy standing out talking to a cabin steward next to the cabin stewards cart. When they saw I was going to be coming through there they kind of stepped back so I could get through and just as they did the ship hit a big wave and the passenger guy fell against a cabin door. When he did the cabin door popped open and there was a lady standing in the middle of her cabin, fully nude. They guy grabbed the door and shut it quickly, but there the three of us were staring right at her. We all felt bad for her, but like I say, since we saw how it happened it was funny. (Thank god for her all three of us were gay guys - you just have to trust me on that one.. LOL).

Anyway, please make sure you secure your door completely when you go into your cabin. You just never know.

T

Terry, you make a very good point but it is sorta funny as well. One time our daughter, like a idiot 20 something year old, was nude, quickly opened the door in her hotel to grab a newpaper. she checked, no one around but somehow when she grabbed the paper the door slammed and she was outside in the hall. It would have been ok but her husband wasn't in the room so quess what? She called housekeeping and yes, some very nice young man unlocked the door for her. I wonder who had the reddist face?

Ok - reminds me of another story....My college roommate use to sleep walk. It would make the best stories....One night we were in a hotel room in downtown Chicago. She got up to use the restroom, then she walked out the door. I quickly got up to go check on her and she was gone.... I called security downstairs who came up. We noticed the neighbors door was not latched, so we knocked. An older lady answered the door and security explained that my roommate was missing. The elderly lady answered it was just her and her husband in the room. Then she said, "wait someone is in bed sleeping with my husband."

That was fantastic.

Your title to the thread caught my eye so I went to click on it and as I waited to have the thread open up (isn't it funny how now we get impatient when it may take a whole 1-2 seconds?) anyway in that long wait I somehow just knew it was going to be you:D lol... Even though I haven't seen you posting much lately. Hope you had a great cruise and waiting for your review as you always give us a few chuckles.

Thank you for the warning... will make sure that the safety lock is secure!
