Costa Concordia Unrecoverable

Well - I ask myself when they will start to pump it out!! (???)

Can't they pump out the oil and look for persons at the same time???

Waiting too long is not good.

Once they start the pumping process, there's a pretty good chance the ship could shift. That's the last thing they want to have happen with searchers aboard.

It makes no sense to speculate, we have to wait... but I ask myself when they will start to pump it out!! (???)

The oil will probably be removed by cutting in from the outside. Easier and safer.

Today at 3 pm there was the decision to pump out the fuel - they are allowed to do it now! I watched the news today! ;)

And let's hope that the ship will be recovered after the long process of pumping out the fuel...

Who gets to play the Captain?

I like either Antonio Bandaras or Alec Baldwin.:)

You mean after her recovery?

At first we have to wait what happens next - at least today the preperation of the pumping out process are in progress so the pumping out starts this week...

Than we will see and hope that the ship will be recovered.

Latest news I heard today was that it would take 10 months to recover it. Sounds like it will definitely be scrapped. Time to build a new ship (or is that time to make the donuts?).
