Another great cruise...just off the Dream

Just got back from the Dream! Had a great time. Really no issues at all!

After reading some of the recent reviews on the Dream I have to admit I was a little worried. I did smell the "smell" along the promenade deck by the casino. But it wasn't too bad and didn't bother me. Other than the last might really felt no movement on the ship. We were on deck 8.

Hit a 40,000 spin on the slots! Won 400 in pennies!! Who hoo!

Had a great time with Victor Bodden in Honduras. We had to dock in coxen hole due to winds but no problems for us. Victor was there to meet us.

Won two ships on a stick and we got picked for the VIP seats in the encore theatre for a show.

The food was ok to good in mdr. Had a great table and great wait staff. Loved the pasta bar.

There was 1200 kids but other than a few who hung out on the stairs they were fine. No issues.

My dd loved fun force and they showed er lots of attention and she took pics with them. Camp carnival was good although she only went twice. She is a mommy girl and I enjoyed spending lots of time with her. She loved the two little slides in the water works area.

Overall great cruise. Any questions please ask.

I really like the Dream. Looking forward to being on her again in November. Glad you had a good time. Share your excursions with us. We have not decided what we want to do. We definitely want to see some Mayan ruins, but can't decide which ones.

We will be on the Dream in Nov also, 11/10/2012. You mentioned Mayan ruins- we are doing NCQtours/Belize for a Mayan ruin. They say there is a good tour of the ruin in Costa Maya too.

OP: did you make all your ports? Guess the answer is yes, since you didn't mention that. Thanks for your good review.

banditswife...we did make all of our ports...however, in Honduas we docked in coxen hole rather than mahogany bay due to the winds....they cancelled the beach excursions but otherwise I don't think it was a big deal...

suezyq....we only did an excursion in Honduras with Victor Bodden...it was really good....we did a tour of the island, vistited the monkeys, had some great beach time....my dd (3 years) did get bit by jelly fish so we cut our beach time short...but otherwise it was great.

I totally agree with your review of "Dream". We've sailed her 3 times, and had an EXCELLENT cruise each and every time.

I too, want to hear about VIP seats in the theater. I always sit first row, center, and can't imagine any better seats than those?

THANKS for a quick, and accurate review.

My daughter & her boyfriend were on this sailing - they both had a GREAT time (his first cruise, now addicted).

My daugher swears they did not have a safety boat drill???? I worked on Carnival ships & have cruised numerous times, and I do believe a drill is a Coast Guard requirement.

So, help me win this one - did her and BF sleep (or drink) through the drill or what???

What are the "VIP" seats ??

I hadn't seen this before on other cruises but apparently they put signs on the seats on the 2nd row back on the side (good seats) that says VIP reserved.....well when we went to dancing on the streets we had awful seats as we didn't get there as early as we like....anyways, one of the entertainment crew member that we had chit chatted with at a trivia game came up to us and said we were his guests for the show....so we moved up to the good seats and he brings out champaigne for us. he sat with us during the show. it was fun.
