Where can I post my review of the Princess and my past cruise experience?

Ooooo, me too! We're sailing with Princess for the first time in March...this will be our 7th and the first time in 4 years we haven't sailed with Carnival. Can't wait to read the review!

Dear 515kitty,

Post here too that way you do a rough drafting and see it before posting on the Review area.

:D

How was your time aboard and ashore?

Definitely post here and on the member reviews section. Many don't go to the member reviews section and rely on the forums for information on ships they may want to sail or be sailing in the future.

I love reading reviews so hope you will post yours here.:)

In the casino, have they added penny slot machines? I have been on her a few times and only remember quarter machines....but since the Ruby definitely has penny slots...perhaps they have added them on Caribbean Princess also?

We sprung a surprise mini-cruise on Grandma...and told her as a selling point about the casino cause she loves slots.....

NeptuneSeas As far as the MaitreD" I can't remember his name we were in Traditional dinning first time and had not problems . Moved when we wanted to any where we wanted to at anytime. Even when not showing up on time 1 hour later.

Perhaps I have just had it with the large ships and need to move on. I understand not being elite but the lines and the internet and the preferrence to Princess tour passengers in ports just made me so upset. Loved the tour stops and overed a lot of area in a short time. Of course there are bad and good about doing that. The sailing was calm which made it delightful.

Kitty I read your review, sorry you had such a poor experience. I am not elite and

dont think they give them better service. Sometimes the robes take a day as they wash them and it takes a while to dry them all. you can request ahead and this helps sometimes. it only makes sense they are going to allow guests who booked princess excursions to disembark first. that is one of the benefits of booking with them. tendering is always a hit and miss and if lots of people show up at the same time they can only do their best to get everyone back to the ship in a timely manner. it probably was not all the ship and i am sorry you had to wait. i am disappointed to hear the ship is in such poor condition as i am sailing on her in november. is there anyone else out there who has been on the caribbean princess lately and agree it is threadbare, scratched up and in desperate need of a facelift??? finally i too do not understand your second post on this thread?????

Wow. That was a quick review. A little surprised by some of the comments though. I haven't sailed with Princess yet, but I already know that Princess excursions are the priority & tendering isn't a picnic. And I would actually pleasantly surprised if the internet works well. Some things are worth complaining about & some things aren't. I just hope that newbies like me research & don't just go by reviews like that one.

We were on it 3 months ago and it was in fine cosmetic condition. As far as the ship being" threadbare, scratched up, and in need of a facelift" we didn't see evidence of that. There was a technnical problem with a bilge pump that delayed our departure a day and caused us to miss Liverpool, but when that was repaired we had a pleasant cruise.

I sailed on the CB in March and the ship was in good to excellent condition; however, there were a few glitches here and there. The carpeting in the hallways could stand to be replaced soon, and some of the cabin doors were scratched up. Both of these were very minor. Our cabin was in outstanding condition, and was very comfortable. I'm sailing on her again in November, and have no worries. Your cruise will be what you make of it, and Princess is a great host. Enjoy!

Dear 515kitty,

Thank you for your review.

It is always refreshing to see the truth Maam.

You should write the Chairman and President to express your concerns/observations. Otherwise they shall not know.

The more which do is really best IMHO.

THE CP aka CB

is going in for a major refitting.. yes like a tuxedo getting torn up for a new back plate..

To Moorerf:We have sailed with Princess and on our profile if is in our sailing request to provide Robes in our room. Yes I do have a problem with Princess holding up passengers. We have paid the same for your cabin as other travelers. Probably more? Why should we be a second class? We prefer to book private tours in all ports that we stop at as we just want not to be on the tour buss. I have no problem with them keeping there groups together and get off together but to hold us up is not fair.

As far as the condition in the public ares it is clean and nice. I was referring to our area around our room and hall. I do think she might be going into dry dock sometime this fall. I notice on the web site there were 2 entries when click and checking on our sailing.

It is a business and they are trying to make money. Every nickle and dime. The trip was generally very nice and covered a lot on ground in a short amount of time. Enjoyed the trip

Thanks for your review. We would love to do the British Isles cruise and have been considering it for a future vacation, however, after our experience last summer on the Caribbean Princess we are putting it off in hopes that they will put a different Princess ship on that itinerary. We have been on a number of Princess ships and the CB is our least favorite due to the terrible overcrowding. It just does not offer adequate space or coordination for the high number of passengers onboard in our experience. We ran into similar traffic jams on our Canada/New England cruise on the CB last summer. We have never experienced such long lines and slow pace for everything we were doing from dining, to shows to getting on and off the ship. It was also a port intensive cruise like the British Isles cruise and I can understand your frustration.

I understand your frustration on being treated second class but I also see the Princess view that if guests book our excursions, ie more money for us, they get off the ship with some priority. We usually do a mix of shore excursions and also do not like tour buses. We book walking tours or small group tours with Princess and do other ports on our own. We just plan that when doing our own thing not to be first off the ship. Glad to hear the ship is not in that bad of shape. I believe they had dry dock last fall and wont be doing any more improvements in the near future. (see another thread on this) It is a large ship and I do prefer those with under 2400 guests but I found on our NE/Canada cruise that altho the ship was almost full it never seemed crowded. So i guess it is all in the eye of the beholder as to what is drab, what is crowded, what is good/bad...that is why it is nice to hear all sides. Glad that your overall experience was good.

Thanks for your review. We always schedule our own tours to start after we are pretty sure most of the Princess tours have left the ship. Princess should have priority for their own excursions. When tendering and even with "priority suite" (even when paid for GS) tender ticket is no guarantee we are going to tender earlier than anyone else -we usually end up waiting at least 45 min with everyone else to tender when there is a line -again we try to go later to avoid the wait. This is just part of cruising, if it bothers you try a smaller ship (1,000 passengers or less). Princess does a great job for the number of people they are serving, sorry to read of your experience.
