Has anyone on here had Karl Bird as their CD? Is he a good one? Tell me something about him.

We've cruised with him 3 times. My husband and I think he is the best CD we have had on all our cruises.

Had him on the Liberty 2007. Enjoyed him alot. Not to far over the top. Now that was 5 years ago. Love his english accent.

Karl with a "K" is a lot of fun. Had him on the Freedom this past January and really enjoyed his sense of humor.

Generally, I don't really care who the CD is. BUT...Karl with a K made a big impression on us! He was visible, funny, and not at all annoying on the announcements.

We absolutely loved him. He was on the victory a couple years ago, and was very entertaining and managed to get a lot of people participating in things. Would love to have him be our CD on a future cruise.

We were on the Liberty on the August 18, 2012 cruise and Karl with a K was a great CD. He was funny, informative, and we saw him around the ship very often.

 

We missed Grand Turk because of TS Isaac and Karl and the Captain kept us informed and aware of what was going on.

Best CD Carnival has. I always thought "big deal" when it came to everyone asking about CDs here and then sailed with Karl and saw the difference a good one can make. He's also a really nice guy and truly loves his job and making sure everyone has a good time. We've sailed with him three times now and can really see the difference in a bad CD vs. a good one.

one of the best. I suppose until I saw Karl in action I never really understood just how a good (or bad) CD can enhance (or detract) from my cruise vacation experience.

I always found most cruise directors annoying, and I hard,y ever saw thm in action. It was ususlly the asst. director... But, he was always around, visible, and accessible.

 

And, his voice/accent is pure ear porn to me;)

Absolutely love Karl with a K! Had him on the Liberty this February and he is by far our favorite CD that we've had. Very fun and very nice. I was fortunate to get to talk to him at the Fun Farewell Party (when there was one).

12 cruises can honestly say the only CD I remember thought was funny and truly enjoyed. He was everywhere and just mingled along like a regular guy. Was so hoping he would still be on the Liberty when we sailed but think he will be getting off right before we board.
