So the only way to post photos is by posting a link then you have to click that link?

I thought I have seen threads where the photo was right there with the post no need to click anything, no?

If you have an image already on a hosting site like Flickr or Shutterfly (no on your PC) you use the Insert Image icon () and paste the direct link address you got from your hosting site into the pop-up dialog box. It should be something like: "http :/someindecipherableaddress......jpg". The ending should be ".jpg" if it is a direct link.

 

The picture will display in the post and you see in the posts above.

Correct, you paste the link and it converts to the photo. Just don't paste the URL in the body of the post. Use the tool.
