ovccruiser Posted October 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2012 Can anyone tell me what the current entertainment is in the Chart Room? On my last cruise, over 2 years ago, they had quite a good jazz trio which I sat and listened to after dinner. I would suspect they have been replaced by now. Pies4u Posted October 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2012 It is still the Mark Hodgson trio. Are they on every evening? Does the Chart Room ever feature a pianist or string quartet as on QV? If not it will be best avoided in our case. Think the Winter Garden or CC sound the best options for classical, popular/ show or quiet background music. Before dinner there is a string quartet, pianist or harpist normally but afterwards it becomes "The Jazz Club" and Mark plays for a couple of hours each evening. I'm not a jazz fan either.
Pies4u Posted October 28, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2012 Many thanks Cap'n. Might pop in pre dinner then, but I'm under the impression that the QG Lounge sometimes features a painist as well & we'll be dining "up there", so it's a tad more convenient. They're always very good. Loud enought to enjoy, but never too loud to overcome conversation.

He was sorely missed after that! There were rumours that he had gone on a bender.....great bloke. Hope he does come back :(
