Ok I’m taking over for now… Have to mention Chris made a rule that “while I had a drink in hand, I had to wear the Tiara”… At least he gave me a pass for dinner in the MDR. I’m not THAT much of an attention queen! I loved him for it though, and it was fun J

This was from a little earlier in the day, but love ones of us actually together in photos – thanks for taking it Debbie!

Also, just to mention on the previous pics Chris posted from the Nassau Sail away - we have been to Nassau many times (as I'm sure most of you out there have been as well) and I never remember sailing this close to the lighthouse. It also seemed like there was a new break located close to the industrial area out past where the fish fry is. We were also wondering if they had to dredge up more of the ocean floor to allow the Breeze and bigger ships to dock... just curious. No matter the reason, it was great to get this close, and loved being able to get some great pics.

There was no formal night on this 2-day cruise but we did have the formal menu tonight with lobster and bbq ribs. Just before our main course was delivered (the waiter had the plate in his hands getting ready to set it down) a family with several unruly kids sat next to us and instead of just sitting down, one kid had to dance to his seat and knocked my full glass of water across the table. Fortunately he hit it so hard that it went straight across the table and completely missed my lap - just got the table and dishes wet. Since it happened right in front of the waiter ("G" was his name - cool guy, but we never went back to that spot for the rest of the trip, unfortunately) he immediately moved us to another table which we were both fine with... it took the temptation away from Chris to give the parents a piece of his mind. It really didn't bother me too much (mainly because I didn't get wet) and I appreciated Chris not making a scene on my birthday (I'm so non-confrontational!). The one thing that did irk me slighly was that the parents didn't even seem to care, almost as if it was my fault my glass was in the way of their son's arm... but who and I to judge?

Anyhoo... dinner was delivered and everything was fine. Usually on the nights with the lobster/ribs, one of the apps is the pumpkin soup - which I absolutely love - but since I just had it the night before, I was happy I could try something I wouldn't normally have ordered. I tried the spaghetti carbonara as an appetizer - and it was delish. Chris said it was slightly too garlicky for his taste, but he is not a garlic lover my any means. He got the fruit cocktail again, so we skipped another pic of that.

Chris ordered the ribs of course for the entree and I got the lobster. I usually also order extra shrimp (not lobster, I know.. I just don't like it that much) but not tonight as the carbonara was filling enough. Both were good, as usual.

We actually both skipped dessert (I know... blasphemy) and headed back to the room to get some money for the casino to kill some time before it was time for the Piano Bar. This little guy was waiting for us... I'll name him "Littlefoot" ;)

Unfortunately we both weren't doing so well at the casino and made a quick donation at the Let it Ride table. We debated putting more money down but agreed that we should just get a drink.

B2B debarkation info was waiting for us in the room.. we had been hearing rumors that they were going to deliver our room keys to us that night since there were so many of us B2B'ers, but to no avail. It instructed us all to meet at the Ovation Theater the next morning at 9:30.. woo hoo at least we could sleep in a bit. We both made some drinks and headed down to grab a good seat at the Piano Bar.

We were both glad we got there early - it filled up quick.

I forget which song this was for, but Silviya whipped out the lighters in full rock ballad concert mode. It was hilarious and awesome.

Chris went back to the room to make a drink and ran into Jaime Dee who was our CD on the Pride in May. They ended up walking in the same direction and had a nice conversation. Meanwhile back in the Piano Bar Ron was breaking out the props all night and we got some for an Elton John song.

P1010980.JPG

Silviya also started handing out props to some of the audience, and be being the Birthday Princess, I just had to get some blingy shades and feather boas for myself and our friends Linda and Ron!

Next up was a little John Lennon

P1010989.JPG

A little later, someone requested Bon Jovi and Silviya brought out some special props this time... Chris tried to get me to be the victim but Ron volunteered Chris instead. He played it up to the fullest and even got to get up on stage with Ron. The wig was really hot. Not sexy hot, but warm hot (as he admitted later.. personally I think it was kind of cool to see him with those luscious locks!). He got a lot of laughs and put a huge smile on my face so he said it was worth it.

A little while later Karl with a K popped in and I went over to say hi since we had such a great time with him on the Liberty. We’re both hoping he’s our CD on our Honeymoon on April.

We closed down the Piano Bar again and Ron took a few minutes to pose for pictures.

A bunch of us headed up to Lido to get pizza but the line was to the door so we just snacked on some stuff we had in the room. We set out our room service tag for morning breakfast since we knew we needed to get up a little early.

Some closing thoughts for this day 2 - while the Breeze is awesome, one upgrade that it's missing is the Alchemy Bar, which I don't think Carnival realized was going to be such a huge hit when they introduced it on the Liberty. However, the AWESOME bar staff at Piano Bar 88 knows how to make some of the delish drinks, and can serve them up if you ask them (they aren't on any menu) including the Spicy Chipotle Martini, and a Pineapple concoction I can't remember the name of. I asked about the Cucumber Sunrise, and Silviya said she could, but just asked if I could bring her some cucumbers from Lido deck.. they didn't have that monin syrup to make it there on site :(. They also made an AWESOME chocolatey concoction, but you'll have to wait for later in the cruise to see it ;)

As promised, here are the Fun Times for 11/23 - Nassau - Day 2 of our little mini-trip before the regular 8-day sailing. Unfortunately I somehow missed saving the tear-out portion, sorry! This was the only day we don't have full Fun Times for.

What

OK, sorry everyone. Work was......not fun today. I did get a lot typed up at lunch so hopefully I can get through all of Friday tonight.

Friday – Nassau (Birthday Girl) : So my sweet baby girl was so excited the Wednesday before we cruised that she thought it’d be a good idea to run (on our treadmill) more than she ever has before. Her foot on the other hand was not as enthused and started bothering her Thursday evening and was really painful by the time she woke up Friday. We hadn’t planned on getting off the ship but she wanted to check out the Pharmacy to see if she could find a wrap or something to help her foot.

This was docked across from us when we arrived

what IS that food ---looks yucky to me lol

Atlantis is beautiful

hope Cass's foot got better !

We slept in til about 9 and took our time getting ready. Made it up to Lido for breakfast around 9:30. yeah right. The lines were ridiculously long! It was about a 10-12 minute wait for standard buffet breakfast. We headed to Blue Iguana and that line was about 15 minutes for a much better breakfast. It was our first time having breakfast there and it was much better than I expected.

Deb and Erman came over and we got to have breakfast with them. We got off the ship and walked around Nassau for a bit since we didn’t get to our last trip. Cass’ foot was really bothering her so we found the Pharmacy and headed back to the ship.

Atlantis - pricey but awesome

Just a few more pics of the Sushi - I tried to get an up close shot of the menu with pricing. I know they let you get it "to go" as well - same with the Red Frog pub food - which is nice if you're winding down your night and want to enjoy some late night snacks in your cabin.

Also, I know Chris mentioned it, but I loved the Salad bar at lunch. They had different soups every day, and the fact that there was cold chicken (which has always been a complaint of mine at the Lido salad buffet) along with at least 20 other salad ingredients was excellent. Plus them mixing it with the dressing for you was awesome. Free helps too ;)

Great job on the review as always. Didya know that the awesome guys from Red Frog Pub actually delivered us apps to the casino bar?

I am so loving this review, and can't wait to board. Your pictures are great. Can you post more pictures on your balcony on a good day? Did you ever get to have breakfast out there? That's what we want to do, if possible.

What was that food

LOL! It looks iffy, but was delicious - it was the taco base for Huevos Rancheros, but I skipped the eggs.

Yeah, my foot started feeling better after a few days of using flat sandals and resting it as much as I could. It was some kind of tendon issue on the outside part, hurt!!

I am so enjoying your review! I am excited to sail with you guys on the Liberty! We can't wait :D

Aww, thanks! We can't wait either! Wanna GO BACK!! (To any ship really!)

Actually, I had forgotten that, but remember that now - it was when we were all watching the games on the Formal Sunday and Boootch stopped to say hi! Too cool, those Red Frog guys were awesome!

Thanks! I know we got some more pics of the balcony, I think Chris intends to do a post with some further summary about the room. Yep, on nice days we were absolutely able to do breakfast and lunch out there, did so at least a few times. The chairs were sometimes a little ick with dried salt, so we placed towels over them sometimes, and then just had the steward replace the towels with fresh ones.

Question...I wonder when B2B 2 night then off for b2b return on the Breeze right?

Yep we had to got off and get back on - I think Chris is going to be posting about that today! :)
