crystal blue Posted January 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Thinking of doing a B2B on Ruby. Or should I do the 10 day Emerald? Is there enough to do on this ship for 2 weeks? I was on Equinox last year for 10 days and it was just to quiet. Not looking for a party boat just looking to lay in the sun, have good food and drinks and see a few shows. If you have been on Ruby your feedback would be appreciated.
highheel girl Posted January 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Would always take a 14 dayer over a 10 dayer!! :D I think there is enough to do. You can stay as busy or relaxed as you want. We have sailed the Ruby many times. :)
paul929207 Posted January 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2013 I would also go for the 14 day cruise
-Lew- Posted January 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2013 I'd go for the B2B! While you're thinking B2B, consider doing two 10-day cruises on the Emerald. Lew
Pia1913 Posted January 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Just off 7 day Ruby on January 6th. Better than 7 on the Ruby would be 14. And 14 beats a 10 any day. Enjoy. :)
DShock Posted January 18, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Definitely would go for the b2b. We did a b2b on Ruby In our case it did the same itinerary both times but we didn't care...just as fun and we did different things the second time in ports...was a blast. I definitely would do 14 days over 10 if possible!
Kamloops50 Posted January 18, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2013 I'm definitely for a 14 day cruise. Keep in mind a 14 day B2B is two seven day cruises together . That you'll be in FLL for one turn around day . The menu and daily schedule will be similar with different ports .
Elkhorn20fan Posted January 18, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 18, 2013 B2B's are the only way to go for us. Great to get to know the ship, staff, see different shows, eat different on the second week. The turn a round day, you have the ship to yourself for a few hours.
Carolyn R Posted January 18, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Like Lew said, a b2b with 20 days on the Emerald Princess would be my choice, 20 days and different ports.
crystal blue Posted January 19, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted January 19, 2013 Thanks for all the replies so far. I would love to do 20 days but getting 3 weeks off work in a row is not possible. I have 6 weeks a year vacation but very difficult to get more then 1 week at a time. This is rare for me to get the 2 weeks so want to make sure I pick the right cruise and cruise line. DShock Posted January 19, 2013 #11 Share Posted January 19, 2013 On your first cruise go to the Sanctuary. Tell them you are booked on the next 7 day cruise and make arrangements to use the Sanctuary on turn around day. We have done that on many b2b's and love the peace and they same great service. If they resist...just push...they always relent and accomodate...that is what I love about Princess. Or...take the water taxi around FLL. Get off and shop Las Olas. Its a great way to spend the day. Whatever you do turn around days can be a blast! Especially knowing you are NOT getting off and going back to reality!!!

If you book the Sanctuary for the week, I would assume it would include the first afternoon and also the last morning (for those on a B2B).
