Uncle John, thank you for "explaining" what the CD's functions are. Now I understand. In otherwords, I guess, the more enjoyment/entertainment you have on a ship, you can give the PRAISE to the CD, right?:)

Hi Donna,

 

Thanks so much for keeping up this list. I always look for it whenever we get ready to cruise to see who our CD will be. We will doing the 9 night Bermuda/Caribbean cruise on Explorer on July 31st where we met you and your lovely family. Julie is bringing her little sister from her sorority. It was a spur of the moment booking taking advantage of RCI's BOGO sale. Plus Julie was in Tampa all Summer doing her Marketing Internship and this will be our annual vacation together. Cannot wait to sail on Explorer one more time before she leaves NJ. So glad Leigh X is the CD too. We've sailed with him a few times and know him well. He's a wonderful CD and guy. Happy Sailing!

Paul Rutter is suddenly being moved from Grandeur to Rhapsody of the Seas for 2 weeks and then his contract is over. Sorry I don't know who is replacing him on GR tomorrow or in RH in 2 weeks

 

Attention GR and RH cruisers: Can someone confirm that who the CD is on GR starting today? Is it Ricky Matthews, or is someone else doing a brief two week fill in until Ricky arrives on Aug 1?

 

Also, can someone find out who will be replacing Paul on RH beginning Aug 1?

 

(Before someone asks, I do not know why Graham left RH 2 weeks sooner than expected)

I hope Leigh is CD on Allure next year as I am strongly considering Allure in the Med next July, Had him on Explorer and he obviously used the same methods as Richard Spacey. Was very impressed.

Jimmy was not bad on Oasis last week, but truly with such a huge ship, We didn't go to the shows so it didn't matter

Radiance OTS - Amy Fickert starts April 27 until August 22 and returns November 5 (who is filling in from Aug 22 - Nov 5?)

 

Rhapsody OTS - Paul Rutter is doing a quick unexpected fill-in from July 18 through August 1 (Who will be filling in from Aug 1st until late-September or early-October when Graham Seymour is due back?)

 

Serenade OTS - Mercedes Lafuente started June 28 *John and Katrina Blair are returning in November (needs confirmation)

 

Splendour OTS - Bill Brunkhorst for the European Season

 

Vision OTS - Steve Davis started on June 9 until October 4th, then Paul Rutter October 4 through December 12, then Steve Davis returns for 4 months

Richard Spacey is now Manager of Entertainment, Activities and Family Strategy Development for Celebrity Cruises in their corporate offices in Miami, working alongside Becky Thompson.

Dave Chapman has left RCCL. He is taking an extended break, and then he will be moving over to another cruiseline.
